for the sake of clarity when trouble-shooting I intend to delete the "Uncommon Valor Open Beta Test Patch" at the start of the new year. if, for whatever reason, people want to download it, there's still a bit more time. again, like the older Gizmotron Mod, Uncommon Valor only seems to work for the English version of the game. I don't know what is necessary to make it work for other versions... I'm just an amateur modder. thanks to everybody who's tried out the mod thus far. hope you all continue to have fun with it in the future.

I'm definitely releasing something by the end of the month. the campaigns will have to be an add-on. (new things will include playable Belgium, Yugoslavia, Thai forces for Japan, packable/unpackable artillery bunkers, and a lot of glitches that have been fixed. WW2 map will be significantly changed)

it won't be the "finished product" that I had hoped it would be. but we've done a lot. (probably more than we should have, LOL)

new SP campaigns will have to be a separate add-on patch for the future.

honestly, I'm not sure. I've downloaded mods in the past where I had to download the patch two or three times before it worked correctly.

which patch did you download? there is the "old" Gizmotron Mod and the "new" Uncommon Valor Beta Test.

I've seen you've moved it to uncommon valor. I haven't yet downloaded it, but when I do I'm sure it will work fine.
But is there a way to readjust the battleships to their original range? Because I like the range of the battleships as it was during the original game.

Windows 8 can be a little tricky in finding where the A&A data folder is located which is the “Favorites/Libraries/Documents/My Documents” folder.

The best way to install this patch or any other A&A patch in Windows 8 is to go to any folder on the desk top and open it.

If there are no folders on the desk top just create a new folder.

Open that folder, on the left top just below “File” drop down you will see “Navigation Pane”.

Click on it and you open the Navigation Pane drop down.

In the drop down you will see a “Navigation Pane line item”, if it is not already checked, click on that and you will check box it.

Once you check box Navigation Pane then in the panel on the left side of the folder you will see “Favorites Folder” appear in the tree.

Open that folder and then you will see the “Libraries Folder” appear in the Favorites Folder tree.

Click on the “Libraries Folder” to open it.

In the Libraries Folder tree you will see “Documents” click on it and open it.

In the Documents folder you will see “My Documents” click on it an open it, this is where you put the A&A data folder.

If any other A&A data folder exist just rename it (A&A whatever U like)
You can switch quickly between modes this way only the folder labeled A&A with nothing added after it will be read by the game.

Excuse me, Gizmotron.

I have one question regarding the buildings if it has not been asked yet. Where can I find the slots for the Engineer Brigade and the Artillery Brigade? The reason I asked is because I installed the mod into "My Documents," and when I started the game, I noticed that I cannot build an airfield. I would like to know the answer to my question. Thanks.

you will need to recruit an Industrial HQ before you can get all of the brigades and depots available. the Industrial HQ should be kept somewhere safe and within the zone of supply of a well-fortified city. this city can be owned by yourself or a team-mate. this way, even if you lose your Corps HQ, you can still rebuild your economy quickly.

That's good to know, but I can't seem to find an Industrial HQ anywhere, not even in the build menu when I select the Corps HQ. However, if I find the option to recruit an Industrial HQ on my own, I will let you know.
