One idea, probably one crazy idea image - Star Wars Alliance Rebellion mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Alliance are a serie of different mods. On the Star Wars GC, you can play the civil war Empire vs Rebel era + Black Sun and soon the Republic and CIS.
Well, this not EAW but it looks very close and it runs very similar. If you do know it, this is the game Universe at War: Earth Assault, the next game from Petroglyph after FOC but this time, it was made for sega.
The point is how I thought if I could import stuff from FOC and I discovered how I could make it easily, well easily not but faster yes. I do not know if I will finish it but I can spend a few hours per week editing it. If I can make one thing similar to the original EAW, it will be good.
I suppose that some of you will remember how when the game was released, some guys tried one thing similar but they did not finish it. At least with me I have advantage because I have a lot of stuff which it can be imported easier. Probably you will think if it can support space battles, I do not know but I would not be surprised if it can happen and I have some ideas about it. But before I dream, I would like see one thing more finished than this.

If you had read the description, you would know how I have not told that I was the first.
If you do this, I will declare you one of the Greatest modders ever!! And don't worry about trying to create a space mode, I've had enough of space from EaW/FoC. I just want ground battles!
I can tell you at 100% that a ground mode can be made. The space mode probably can be used but from my perspective, just at galactic conquest and launching the battles by default as missions. At least this is the way that I´m thinking as better.
The other point can be convert the default game to space game and launch the ground battles as mission events.
