Firearms: Source is a team based first person shooter, rooted in the traditions of the Firearms mod for Half-Life. Firearms: Source brings the best aspects of Firearms to the Source engine, and then takes them a step further. You'll see a host of familiar weapons and maps, but you'll find the streamlined game play to be faster, focusing on aggressive, skilled play. From nearly the moment you spawn you can expect to be engaged in furious action.

We have come a long way with Firearms Source, from our early beginnings using all borrowed content for weapons and mounting the Counter-Strike: Source Grid Cache File, to now using all of our own custom weapon models and building up our asset library with our own art team. We have been on a long and unique journey getting to where we are now. Our early design document didn't include our own player models, or even prone. We have gone through multiple leaderships and have merged with other teams to help make this a reality. And now we have gone above and beyond the old design document and hope to bring you an exciting interpretation of Firearms with this release.
However, Firearms did not become the game it is in its first release. Just think of all the work and releases it took to get to your favorite version. We can't thank the original Firearms team enough, for their hard work and dedication to the mod. We hope we can continue to carry that torch into this new engine, and we hope you, our community, will help steer Firearms Source in the right direction. Firearms Source 1.0 will not be the last release, we plan on building it up like a modification should, and will be supporting Firearms Source for years to come. We strongly believe that we should stick to this formula, as long as you are here to support us.

For those who would like to run an FA:S server for the release day, we will try to release the server builds a few days in advance. If you would like to countdown the days until release, just check the top right of our website.

in the hearts and minds of TRUE gamers, fraggin' still lives on, not like those pansy 12 year olds who only care about how the game LOOKS rather than it's playability
Ouch that kinda hurt. I'm an exception though. I'd be glad to go back and play some wolfenstein 3d, some super mario 3, and some of the of the old stuff. I'm probably the only twelve year old in my school who played wolfenstein spear of destiny. but yeah amen to that comment.

I hate games that are just silly gun-faps (Modern warfare, 90% of military focused mods), and yet I recall enjoying Firearms on goldsrc because it was such a shameless gun-fap. It took gun-fapping and elevated it to a form of art. The quenton tarantino of gun games , if you will. Will be looking forward to playing this next iteration and fapping over all the guns you've lovingly modelled :)

Yay finally a good mod that been in development for a while gets to come out. time to kick back, smoke some weed, and update my drives cause with the computer i have now this mod will blow it up with epicness.
