Five Elite Mercenaries are send to an Island in middle of the 1980'. The Task: Find and Eliminate a local Drug Baron. Features: new Physic, real Sunmovement, Day/Night Change, Hunger/Food system, realistic (!) Weather system, Light/Dark viewing system for AI, 5 different Fractions on the Island. Complete Realistic simulation of nearly all things, including Sleep. New weapons, new Vehicles. Vehicles driving system is now exact (!) like GTA IV , FireSystem,... this mod is Heavily inspired by GTA, IGI, FarCry.

working since two weaks on debuggin routines, which let me show exact what happens in every map and let deconstruct in realtime the map piece by piece and monitor the engine performance.
by accident i stumbled by this over some horrible cryengine bugs, for example the "visual basic runtime error" with instant drop to desktop engine kill, which is atleast in cryengine2 and cryengine3 present.
i needed 3 days to track this bug down and find the exact cause and now i can avoid it (i can't fix it, i would need the complete sourcode from cryengine and editor, which crytek didnt give out).
however: this screenshot shows some strange things: even with a nearly complete cleaned up map the FPS are round about 35 FPS instead ~120, for this poly draw call.
inbetween i have the vegetation renderer in focus, even if cryengine is designed per definition to handle exact THIS kind of stuff very well with his LOD and sprite drawing system. but it seem something is broken there, will investigate more.
or you can see at this screenshot a logged "draw entities" call from cryengine which cause ~80 FPS load (on top of the green list), but there are nearly no entities left in this map. there is something really strange ...
