Version 9.0 has been uploaded! It can be found at the Downloads page of this mod. It's still a WIP, so expect some issues.
Well, in the whole 24 hours the first Weapon Slot video has been up, it has already generated a few (predictable) complaints. However, I have developed a simple way for you Rambo's out there to get your run-and-gun fix, while allowing people more into realism to have their fun as well.
Meet the House Core Terminal V2. Now equipped with a "Settings" tab, in which you can customize various elements of this mod. In earlier versions, it was in a bad location and only gave you information, now it lets you get info, customize the mod, and I'm working on a horde mode.
NOTE: There is no sound due to my video recorder hating my sound drivers. At least you get an idea of how it works.
I like this... Mod always get's my approval when he has lot's of features, but you can tweak them all a little the way you like (no cheat settings afcourse)
Well, I will try to allow the player to tweak most of the big changes through this terminal.
You my friend is a F****** Genius! I like the idea, and i sure hope bethesda hires you soon.
Thanks :)
And I hope Bethesda hires me soon as well. Got to get working on Fallout: New Vegas :P
sweet
Thanks :)
Awesome feature. Not like I'd even use it myself, but it's good that there's more realism being put in this game that at first felt somewhat like a singleplayer MMORPG without auto-combat.
Myself, I just add my own patches on top of this to adjust a few scales, such as how much weight you can carry around, and am currently trying to figure out a way for armor's weight to be drastically reduced while it is being worn (to represent the lessened effect of the armor's bulk and the better weight distribution, as opposed to a while suit of armor you're carrying on your shoulder or in your backpack - which is much more cumbersome). Then again, if I can manage to replicate your weapon slots system but with armor, that just might work too.
Thanks, I hope you at least try it :P
I am actually adjusting the weight of the items. Some things make no sense at all; why does a 9-volt battery weigh 10 pounds!? And a spoon weighs 1 pound? They really didn't think the item weights through when they were designing the game. However, most of the guns have slight weight increases.
Later on, I'm planning to make a full clothing system. Boots, legs, torso, arms, head, etc. When I do, I'm going to concentrate on making it as realistic as possible.
