Imagine, a Hollywood producer got his hands on the game. The result would be similar to what the Cinematic Mod is: a graphics blockbuster, redesigned to the typical game to movie adaption with an orchestral soundtrack and beautiful people everywhere.

It really does though, somebody said this part of the game looked pretty much exactly like a place in real life near where they live. They sent a picture and I highly agree.
Actually I, as being a east european guy, can say that it looks really close to what landscapes looks like here !

Washed out and lifeless sounds pretty damn right to me, sounds like what the combines do with every life form, so to me, this is pretty dead on.

It was supposed to be like that in the original game, then a little German had to hack VALVe and make them start over on half life :(

love the reimaging of half life 2, looks spectacular.
but I don't think fakefactory understands that half life 2 update, wasn't a reimaging or anything of the sort, it was mainly made to improve lighting and shadows, not to completely revamp the environment. so I don't really see the point of comparing the 2 very different mods with each other. feels very smug.
great mod though.
