The color pallet looks washed out and lifeless, maybe that's the look you're going for though?
Washed out and lifeless sounds pretty damn right to me, sounds like what the combines do with every life form, so to me, this is pretty dead on.
It was supposed to be like that in the original game, then a little German had to hack VALVe and make them start over on half life :(
