Sins of a Solar Empire is often described as a 4XRTS game, or a game that tried to merge the action and tactics packed gameplay of a Real time strategy game with the deep, complex, empire wide strategy of a 4X turn based game. It's up to debate whether Sins succeeded in this goal, but I think all can agree that of the 4Xs of "explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate", Sins is much more focused on the exterminate than on the others. This mod seeks to give more depth to the other 3Xs of the game by adding additional game elements or refining the existing ones to reward players who give more strategic thought to the non-combat side of the game. Combat will still be the center point of the game, but players will find that the non-combat options available will be much more rewarding. Spying, exploring, sabotage, diplomacy, culture, and economic development have all been added or changed in innovative new ways. Regardless of what you think Sins is, this is the 4XRTS it should have been.

Hello,
After playing some time your mod, I realise something thay maybe can be added and make an improvement in terms of eXplore.
This is the situation, I'm playing on a big map with lots of enemies and full of black holes that conects systems, I really like to focus on economy and conquer enemies later on game, the problem is I didn't explore enought so now I have to use the default explorer with light armor which is destroyed almost immediately.
So my idea was making a medium or heavy unit like a Cruisers but fast enought to do the job and with very low attack power or maybe with none so nobody can abuse of it.

Thanks in advance

Might be cool, but I would need someone to help with the models.

I downloaded the mod and put it in the sins mod file and launched the game but it does not detect the mod, i looked at the instructions and believe i did what they say, i copied and pasted the file to the mod file.

Did you extract the zip file you downloaded here? The game detects mods by looking for normal folders, not .zip files (that's just so you can download it). Otherwise, make sure its in the right folder by hitting the "Show Mod Path" button in the mod tab of the main menu options in game.

Perhaps this guide will help with anything else. Steamcommunity.com

Hello, i seem to be having an issue with the mod. As I click apply in the mods area in options, the loading screen freezes. If I press the windows button and click on Sins again, a debugger will pop up stating that "Entity ref. not found 'Ability_E4X_CaptureNeutralFrigate.entity'" Is there anyway to fix this error?

I have fixed this error and no longer need any help. I was also having some other 10-20 errors. At first I skipped them one by one, and it crashed, but if I press skip all it'll work. Is there any way to avoid this in the future?

Sounds like an installation problem, because I assure you that file is there. That, or might you have installed it over an old E4X installation?

That said, some things this mod does will generate errors even though they work perfectly fine. I assume you are using the dev.exe as otherwise errors should not be shown. I would recommend you edit your rebellion.user.setting file and set ShowErrors to FALSE.

The latest version of Interregnum (Alpha 2) already includes this update. Whether you download it from here or get it bundled with Interregnum, it should be the same and be called Enhanced 4X Mod 1.74.
