Sins of a Solar Empire is often described as a 4XRTS game, or a game that tried to merge the action and tactics packed gameplay of a Real time strategy game with the deep, complex, empire wide strategy of a 4X turn based game. It's up to debate whether Sins succeeded in this goal, but I think all can agree that of the 4Xs of "explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate", Sins is much more focused on the exterminate than on the others. This mod seeks to give more depth to the other 3Xs of the game by adding additional game elements or refining the existing ones to reward players who give more strategic thought to the non-combat side of the game. Combat will still be the center point of the game, but players will find that the non-combat options available will be much more rewarding. Spying, exploring, sabotage, diplomacy, culture, and economic development have all been added or changed in innovative new ways. Regardless of what you think Sins is, this is the 4XRTS it should have been.

Description

A modified galaxy forge tool, allowing you to make maps with all the new planets, ships and planet bonuses E4X adds. Includes icons for the new E4X planets. Added support for some of the new Rebellion 1.5 and Forbidden Worlds content, but I'm probably missing something, please comment about any missing items.

Hi,

The Barren planet is missing from here. Also missing is the template for Ancient:Entity:EnergyHarvester.

PS: How do I get the ancient entities (ie: the one mentioned above) to spawn on planets?

Hey Malurok,

The Barren planet actually is in there, it is just called No Atmosphere internally (old name for it). Inhospitable might also be called Igneous for the same reason.

What exactly do you mean the template is missing for the Energy Harvester? Some of the Ancient entities are difficult to spawn (Especially the ones that shoot at other planets), but the basic ones like the energy harvester and shield generator *should* be able to be spawned if you give it to a player and select "Always" as the condition.

and another note.. the planet bonus: swampdefensive when i try to use dont work and i try to find the description in the string file or the entity file but the description and the file is missing..

You can always spawn any planet bonuses/artifacts you want with the parameters "NoOwner" and "Always". The Swamp Defensive bonus is still in the mod, but it is no longer actively used and this is one of the few cases where the name in the galaxy forge is not the internal name. It is essentially the same thing as the "Thick Atmosphere" bonus.

i try but there isn't all the planet bonus, for example if i want to spawn the fortress world bonus in a planet i dont find it in the entity section in galaxy forge. I think a lot of bonus missing in that section

The Forbidden Worlds DLC planet bonuses have not even been added to the official Galaxy Forge yet, and I haven't gotten around to adding them myself. Hopefully they will be included in the next version of Sins.
