Holy sh*t (again)! Are those actually nebulae or are those "clouds" part of the surrounding skydome? If you're working on different kind of nebulae like this, this would be groundbreaking! Ah and great work on the hardpoints!
So if I way an engineer, which I actually am in the midst of becoming, I would put my shield generator safe inside the ships hull. The emitters would have to be on the outside of course. I like G's way of doing it and the original way. It gives the game a little tactical input rather than just flinging ships at each other.
Something I'm worried about when it comes to such a small number of hardpoints is how it will affect the relationship between capital ships and bombers. It would seem that the less hardpoints a ship has, the more vulnerable it is to bombers. Is that true?
I think the Victory should have 2 Shield Generators, becaouse it has 2 of those "balls" over the bridge...
But other than that very good work.
I read somewhere that those are sensors but in every mod they are shields

Then you haven't looked at my Victory renders correctly, it has 3 domes. And why would I give it 2 when it only needs one?
if my memory serves me, the Victory has a third ball on the bridge support, that ball would be the shield emitter

Looking good G I would just suggest you make those hardpoints like half the size. They look better when they're small IMHO.

Thanks, flinging ships at eachother is definitly not what I want with the gameplay ;)
That's awesome. With less hardpoints are they going to have more health or will the overall health of the ship bereduced?
How long does it take to model/texture, animate turrets, bla bla; get a model into the game with everything added from scratch?

If a hardpoint has 5000 health, it doesn't matter if you only have 6.
