The year is 2055, more than thirty years after the events of Zero Hour, Earth suffers a catastrophic collision with meteorites. The world is thrown into turmoil as large swathes of land are annihilated. Four factions, the ADF (Asian Democratic Federation), WEA (West European Alliance), WLF (World Liberation Front), and AC (American Confederacy) are at war for control of the remaining already harder to find resources as well as the preservation of their nations and geopolitical interests. Welcome to Deep Impact.
Many failings in recent conflicts have caused the WEA commanders to need to evaluate the performance of their leopard tank. For a long time the Leopard was the best tank the WEA possessed but it was rapidly becoming outdated. They concluded that the tank was not advanced enough to face the duel threat of USA and UAN invasion. The commanders contracted a weapons firm to design them a compact yet powerful tank to replace the Leopard. The contract between the WEA and the weapons firm meant the new tanks could be purchased at a much lower cost, meaning more could be fielded. This was handy as although the tank was a great improvement on the Leopard, it still was not up to the standard of the, currently experimental, USA Arbiter tanks.
The Taurus rapidly became the backbone of most WEA attacks. Boasting above average armour; powerful engines and a damaging single bore cannon the Taurus can hold its own against most foes in battle.
I dont know why but it looks kinda like the Challenger Series tank,Still,awsome work!

Ah the Taurus. One of my favourite EC units. :P
Mylo did an outstanding job on the model. And Pav3d did an awesome job skinning it. All of that raw talent combined equaled the Taurus. :)

Lul the firepower is fine :P it gets quite a cool lil upgrade thatll u will see in-game. I dunno why Taurus, I am not sure who actually came up with it in the first place xD
IIRC, Taurus was what Tim called the model when he sent it to Mike. The name stuck, so we kept it.

Orion is a hunter, Centaur is a horse-with-human-body thing, and Garuda is the Bahasa Indonesia for Phoenix...

I can sort of see what you mean.
I can imagine a futuristic basic tank design looking something like the Tauras.
However, the model itself is quite a bit more detailed than the skin reveals. (Simply because the skin is so eye catching, the model looks more less detailed in comparison).
It may have a more realistic, simpler design, but I still really like the model and skin.
At the end of the day it just comes down to personal choice. No-one agrees about everything. :P

I think a plasma auto-gun should be added to fight infantry and just to keep the future looke since this doesn't have railguns or anything like that.
looks like a german assault gun from world war 2, it has the same overall profile
