The year is 2055, more than thirty years after the events of Zero Hour, Earth suffers a catastrophic collision with meteorites. The world is thrown into turmoil as large swathes of land are annihilated. Four factions, the ADF (Asian Democratic Federation), WEA (West European Alliance), WLF (World Liberation Front), and AC (American Confederacy) are at war for control of the remaining already harder to find resources as well as the preservation of their nations and geopolitical interests. Welcome to Deep Impact.
Although Russian forces have always been a strong enemy or ally, depending on the side you were fighting on, their infantry has never been strong. VDV and Spetsnaz were the exceptions, but their limited numbers meant they were not an option in great battles. In 2054, the Chinese high command, created a new infantry training program called the Elite Guard. These were the next step from the already obsolete Red Guard. Enhanced training camps, better equipment and advanced training tactics, transformed the Elite Guard soldiers into the most powerful infantry on the battlefield. When the UAN was formed, the Elite Guard was soon combined with the russian war machine, creating what is now known as the Iron Guard Elite Corps.
The Conscript is the standard assault infantry of the Iron Guard, and while it's equipment is not as sophisticated as that of the Marine or Protector, it's powerful rifle and elite training make it the strongest front line infantry on the battlefield. Beware of this infantry unit, for if it comes in great numbers, meaning only a strong anti-infantry support can counter them.
can you loose the skirt please..............
only REAL MEN wear skirts.
scotlandish??
Its not a skirt :P
Is a ceremonial iron tunic :)
Mike
LOL maybe you could change their guns to bagpipes shooting bullets! XD
LOL

Wow one of the best infantry renders I've ever seen for Zero Hour! You guys are incredible!
Glad you like the render so much Arkeolog4. :D
Credit goes to Veers for making the model, Chralle for skinning the model and Pav for making the unit render. :)

grate render art work, all good safe :}
What's that roundy-green thing on his eye???
Night vision???
Yeah night vision, infa-red etc etc
I don't like the skirt... It makes me sad, I don't know about people in China(suppose the don't wear them) but russians don't wear skirts, or even tunics((( And in my opinion the helmet should be closed, so as to give the impression of a faceless horde of soldiers (cause UAN should have millions of them and all of different nationalities) and to improve the efficiency of soldiers in extreeme conditions (gas, night, frost, heat, dust and so on), cause I say it again, as infantry is the backbone of UAN it should look impressive and "solid".
Samurais do wear them
But there are samurais only in Japan+ they are not regular infantry, they are closer to european knights
but this is the UAN, not the Europeans
looks.. heavy
Don't add that iron tunic, its just silly.
The model is good, but the name is fascist (the paramilitary branch of the far-right/national-socialist party of Romania was also called 'The Iron Guard').
Oh er, we didn't know that when we chose the name.
Trust me it wasn't intentional.
We may end up changing the name if people find it offensive.

nice but wat's with the skirtes?0.0
Give them like a full badass robe type dealio if anything. Like extend the render down to their feet so they're badass trench coat like things. That would be kind of badass. The super short kilt looks a bit akward for a soldier with a gun.
I find the iron guard a bit offensive.... Not really but it just looks really wierd....
