Dark Interval is a restoration/revision mod that lets you play Half-Life 2 as it could have been. Using Valve's early concepts, we're creating new maps, models, textures, and custom dialogue. The mod is released in episodes, the most recent being Dark Interval: Part I - an intro chapter to the bigger story.

Description

What do you think of it? Previous version(s) featured snow effects and a strong color correction (as well as green aurora borealis), but it proved to be quite costly and not too realistic. The rain effect does not gnaw at your (well, at least mine =)) fps as much and the effect seems to be intended all along as Borealis maps have rain ambient sounds. The aurora's color is just my personal choice and I hope you like it (it is possible to have it changing colors though).

Also, the ship is now bigger, both upper deck and the front part. Process of adding details is not fully complete.

The scenary should look a bit prettier with cubemap reflections on floor, but I have some problems with them currently.
