I have followed the clean install 4 times. I have all the right versions of FLMM and Crossfire 1.70. I continue to get the same error message: Error: problem activating 'Crossfire Mod 1.70 Client Edition'
Error: SHCopyFile failed ('C:\Program Files\Freelancer Mod Manager\mods\Crossfire1.70\EXE\MSINET.OCX' to 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\MSINET.OCX')
what u have here is vista issue: plz use 'run as administrator' from the program context menu, while starting installs and everything else [at least 4 the 1st time]. this will solve ur issues.
