Here I just want to shortly comment this new installer release:
- For install is needed only Freelancer game (vanilla) installed (no mods, no patches)
- FLMM is no longer needed!
- Crossfire mod installation will not change vanilla Freelancer install!
- Installer contains link to preview page where you can see how some settings will appear in game.

Crossfire mod installation is now MUCH smoother and faster going and was tested working also on old windows versions back to Win XP.

Please raise new ticket for this issue here: Swat-portal.com ... Im not sure whether was reported such issue before, but with changes to windows during time there may be something new.

Edit: is advised to make new installation using new installer.

Howdies. Wondering if can install latest Full ver. of Crossfire now that installed Freelancer without the patch file. I found that my Cloud hosting site 'Mediafire' has Freelancer exe ver. 1.0.1223.11 file as well. Question: Need to add that into Freelancer root folder after installed Freelancer or can now proceed to install Crossfire 2.0.1 ?

I'm asking cause some days ago i installed both, but when i launched fresh adventures without my save files from years ago (maybe finished 60-70% of the orig. campaign) then i didn't even get the first free ship from Juni & game crashed when bought Rhino ship. Planned to launch fresh adventures with relaxed pace & then eventually get into CF content, but it crashed so soon.

So now after uninstalling i've reinstalled just Freelancer & waiting confirmation for question in first paragraph :) I can send couple crashdump files if needed. Let me know if wrote something to sound confusing. Wish good rest of the year to whole Swat-Portal & Crossfire crew o/ Kindly: Fedaygin **UPDATE 22.9.** 15:15 EEST: Gotcha, thanks for reply at Swat-portal.com :) I installed it about hour ago & gonna launch the fresh adventure soon once get Ginger Tea Cuppa & couple warm sammies done.

Is there a way to change the installation location? The only option it gives me is a drop-down menu with all my drives and the only location I can install to is X:\Freelancer Crossfire.

Simply install it in the Drive you want, then if you don't like it being in the root of that drive (highly recommended), you can just move the install folder somewhere else.

I'm seem to be having an issue with Mission 12. When I land on Planet Toledo to complete mission 12, my ship gets replaced with a Civilian Starflier and I get advanced from Level 17 to Level 45.

I'm trying to install the 2.0.1 version of Crossfire, but it won't recognise my Freelancer installation. The game itself works fine, though, and the Freelancer HD Edition mod installed and worked just fine. Is there any way around this?

How do I install it? Is it that hard to link or copy the instructions? You type all this gibberish about how great the mod is but not the actual information on how to actually install it.
