In a remote and seismically unstable area of the planet is a heavily infested area loaded with Tiberium Fields and Veinhole Monsters. Not exactly the most friendly neighborhood to be setting up a base in. The location has been nicknamed "The Gates Of Hell" and this place has been considered to be designated as the first "Red Zone" on the planet.
Too bad GDI dampeded the spirits of Mutants and Nod alike by destroying the **** things decades into the future. Still, nice to see a Red Zone!

Well it's not quite a red zone. Firstly, those are EA's idea. And they were not interduced until the Third Tiberium War.
well, that was 5 decades since the 1st tiberian war and by that time tiberium would have had spread throughout the world.
and as for the game itself, it was a good aid on what kind of maps we should make for the game.
as winding back to the first tiberian, for this place to be a red zone, it needs:
a lot of tiberium
visceroids
and all sorts of tiberian life forms.
I've played this map a few times. The veinholes keep killing my under-construction buildings and the AI can't build anything. =(

This map was released in version 1.3 so you can see for yourself that this map has everything as you had mentioned. However, I did not want to overdo it in too many maps as this is still supposed to be TW1 so the mutation should not be as heavily advanced as it is seen in TW3 because it would not fit properly with story canon or even logic which would derail what I am trying to depict in this Mod.

The Map has been modified and will be repaired in the next version whenever it comes out. For now, try to start your base in the southeast as the AI will work better on the northwest area of the map.
