Just like Kane's Vision, this mod aims to perfect the gameplay experience of Kane's Wrath. With countless new faction unique upgrades and units, this is a comprehensive overhaul of this already great game. Every change that was introduced in this mod was with quality gameplay in mind and do justice to the lore of the factions. Furthermoe, One Vision is keen on maintaining the game's high visual level and improve upon it wherever possible.

Nice cameo. I guess it fits, specially with the Nuclear theme of the Renegades, but dont they make Blackhand squads redundant for Renegades? Perhaps they should replace the BH squads.

If the equivalent to the Grenadier Squad is a Black Hand unit, you can compare Desolators more to the Sniper Team.

Desolators deal sniper damage and cannot attack structures. Another obvious drawback is that they need T4 and they are rather slow.

In fact, I think Black Hands are a great complement to Desolators because of their strong anti structure attack.

The Desolator is more like a "premium" infantry unit when it comes to infantry fights, since the sniper damage excels in killing enemy anti infantry infantry units such as: Ravagers, Grenadiers, Black Hands or Awakened.

Also the radioactive fields created from the Desolator's shots can harm own infantry units too.

Btw. I also completely remade the stats of Black Hands.

These Desolators look to be just anti-infantry/anti-vehicle troopers; they aren't capable of garrison-clearing, so the Black Hand Squads are still needed for that job.

There are also Flame Tanks for that.

I have yet to decide whether they can clear garrisons or not.

In my current WIP version, they "partially" clear garrisons, meaning that multiple shots are needed to clear a garrison.

This mod looks pretty neat. Liking that cameo.

I'm wondering, will you add in blood and custom death animations as well, so we can see infantry melt into puddles of goo?

sadly not. The way the modding tools work I would need to change every infantry unit (and im not doing that for all 6 human factions :P) and on top of that I can't make animations.

Description

It is a hideous sight to see "Desolator" units melting away flesh and bone with the combined power of heat and radiation.

One can only wonder how the scattered Renegades of the Brotherhood of Nod could have achieved such cutting-edge technology... and how insidious the mind of its inventor must be.

On the battlefield, Renegades can deploy "Desolators" once the Tiberium Nuclear Plant has been built. The Desolator's lethal beams of radiation can kill most infantry units in an instant.

What is more, the radiation will only volatilize over time, leaving behind a pool of death for other infantry units in the area.

While the Desolator's weapon poses no threat to unmanned structures, the immense heat is capable of melting away the armor of vehicles.
