Just like Kane's Vision, this mod aims to perfect the gameplay experience of Kane's Wrath. With countless new faction unique upgrades and units, this is a comprehensive overhaul of this already great game. Every change that was introduced in this mod was with quality gameplay in mind and do justice to the lore of the factions. Furthermoe, One Vision is keen on maintaining the game's high visual level and improve upon it wherever possible.

So, does anyone know how to mod the Steam version of KW? I would love to give this mod a try... but I mean, with the lack of any usable folders... |

So, I have this file path "C:\Users\[My name here]\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath\Mods" with the one vision folder in there. No luck, however. Edit: I am using win 7 Edited by: GoldenArbiter |

You did try to launch it with the modlauncher, right? Have you also tried the shortcut way described in the textfile? If this fails too, you can launch the mod in a different way, but it's not as convenient. First, got to your Kane's Wrath main folder and right click "CNC3EP1_english_1.2.SkuDef". Now, you add the following line on top of that The * needs to be your user name. Before you change the file, try to name the folder "Command and Conquer 3 Kanes Wrath". It's the same without the apostrophe. Some people seem to have different folder names for reasons only EA knows (ok, they probably don't know that either). |

K, I opened the skudef file with notepad (not sure if that's what you meant, and this is what it said before I added anything:
So from what I understand, it is already creating a file path, but not reading it? |

The best way would be to find out what folder your game looks for. To do so, open Regedit.exe and go to:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ELECTRONIC ARTS/Command and Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath There you look for the entry in the line "UserDataLeafName". |

Leafname: After adding a space to the folder name, and re launching, still no difference. |

Sorry for the delay. I talked to the creator of the mod launcher and he made a new version: It should work for steam and you can directly browse to your correct folder where you need to place the "mods" folder. |

Oh shit, that's cool. Unfortunately I'm on cellular data and can't download it until the weekend, but thanks for the effort. |

I think it worked, but what can I do to test it to be positive? Er, actually, just looked throug and saw renamed factions. I'm going to assume that means it worked. Thanks for the help, man. |

Code wise the mod consist of two parts. One that has all strings (like renamed factions) and one that has all the content. Did you hear the new main theme when you started the game? Just start a game and you should see noticeable differences when playing the game ^^.Just play Steel Talons, Marked of Kane or Reaper-17, they got all different buildable starting units. That's the fastest way to make really sure. |

It worked. Kinda disappointed it doesn't flow 100% with the world war module, seeing as how that's all I play KW for, but it's still fun regardless. |
