Hello to our moddb friends and visitors :D

Hope all of you are doing well! For those of you who're about to have/having exams right now like us in the mod team, we wish you good luck!!!!!

First of all, we're delighted to announce that just about 2 days ago, cnc2142 made it's way to rank #6 / 11042 mods registered worldwide on Moddb! This is truly AWESOME - thank you all for your continued support! ^^

Now, on to our topic of the day, regarding last week's favourite map vote, it seems like "Suez Canal" and "Sidi Power Plant" are still tied for the top spot.. so looks like we're gona have to put BOTH into our first public release! Having said that, we will also have a few of the mod team's favourite BF2142 maps in our public release - so no worries! :P

Also, I've released another 2 CNC2142 screens, one in-game demonstrating our first air vehicle (EU's UD-12 Shepherd), and another screen demonstrating our vehicle upgrades! If you've missed that, you ought to check it out and tell us what you feel about the new releases! :)

If there were a Port Bavaria map for C&C 2142, I think the only way you can get units up/down there would be to ferry them with an air transport, so wouldn't the enemy build loads of AA guns to prevent them from ferrying units THEREFORE resulting in a map which is always a stalemate?

we will definately look into the idea of the map, but yeah, at least if i were playing as a up-hill position, I'd spam anti-air ever so badly on the edge of the cliff haha!

Easy tactic to beat the AA blockade would be to use an EMP strike plus an orbital bombardment on a certain area, then get 'em through the breach.

They're working on it, infantry takes a bit more time to model/skin because the game only allows a certain amount of detail (polys etc).
