This mod is basically a rules change which focusses on the air aspect of gameplay in C&C3. Only Air units can be built and players can expect to have intense air battles with current rebalanced air units (present in C&C3) as well as with the new upgrades for this mod.

The reason I'm releasing betas for C&C: Air is to allow people to balance test the mod and make comments.
That said, let me go into detail about the mod in this first news post.

This modification allows only Air units to be built (apart from the Drone Ship, which is another matter) and this aims to create fun yet intense Air Battles with your Venoms and Orcas (and of course Stormriders).

This is still a C&C game though, meaning you won't do without bases and their timely destruction, meaning heavy aircraft still play a role in the game.

The following list is the changelog of the current version in testing (0.085)

All Air unit production structures has their respective Power Plants as the only Prerequisites.
Only Anti-Air defenses can be built and their prerequisites are their respective Power Plants.
Air unit production structures have reduced costs and production times.
Air unit production structures now comes with one AA defense and contains NO repair drones.
Anti-Air defenses are now cheaper with very low build times.
Air units (excluding the Planetary Assault Carrier) cost less than their original and build times have also been decreased.
The Stormrider has an increased range and damage. (To be reduced in next version)
GDI's AA Battery has a reduced stealth detecting range.
Tiberium fields now contain more credits at the start and spreads marginally faster.
Technology Centres of the respective factions are now cheaper and with quicker build times.
Ground production structures and defenses are both removed.


As you can see, cheaper aircrafts allow faster battles, but it is not all balanced now. Version 0.085 will be released in a few moments.

you should probably get rid of scrin's ability to build new construction yards
maybe you could give nod + gdi new air units
gdi could get some sort of floating mammoth tank, it could have the same turret with double rail guns
nod could get this dragonfly-type thing that has some lasers and can stealth
i think of more later

i think this mod would be good if you either took out most of the scrin units or gave gdi and nod some good air units. in other comments, even the ai adapts!

The next version will probably be more balanced. For example, the Firehawk will only be able to target air units while the Orca will be able to be upgraded with railguns. Scrin is a bit of a problem though and I'll try my best to balance them out. Suggestions would be welcome
