Call of Pripyat: Redux is the premiere realism/difficulty modification for the latest game in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Version 1.0 (released) brings numerous enhancements and tweaks to the game while retaining its original charm, but making the Zone a much more difficult place to survive. Version 2.0 (in development) will build upon the success of v1.0 and bring a huge range of improvements over its predecessor, including new missions, NPCs, script systems and even levels.

This patch replaces v1.05! If you have v1.05, over-write with this patch! If you have anything pre-v1.05, download this patch instead of v1.05!

Thanks for the patch, however...
Despite installing v1.05a I'm still getting a high number of random crashes in Yanov and the Jupiter area. Also, after death trying to load a game results in a crash every time, which is game ruining since going from 100% health to suddenly dead is a common occurance in Redux combat, which is just plain torture if your game crashes after every death :/

I deleted my gamedata folder and installed just the Base Redux + 1.05a and set all graphical options to minimum to make sure it wasn't just my computer or other lightweight mods crashing the program, but the random crashing still occurs. I don't get these crashes playing other large mods such as RCOM with Atmosfear. I don't know what to do; Redux is just too annoying to progress in due to inexplicable crashing, yet this by far my favourite mod otherwise and I don't really want to play without it :(

I'm not in Jupiter yet. But thanks ALOT for the fire mode indicator, as it was getting tiring having to press the button, hold down the trigger on my Abakan to se how many rounds are wasted :P(loading takes too long)

Hey I just clicked and dragged "gamedata" onto my original gamedata folder, but it still crashes when I give Cardan Snag's box. Did I enter the patch wrong?

You have to make sure you're over-writing a number of files.

LoboKhan Sep 16 2010, 10:50pm replied:

I had to manually enter the gamedata file(and all sub files, and copy each individual file from the patch, to the gamedata subfolders.
That's the only way I got the patches to install.

I'm still getting the Jupiter/Yanov station "sound_theme. script:256" CTD though.
It happens within 2 minutes of playing any saved games.
I've given up playing this mod, until I can get a fix that works.

Much as i love STALKER and want CoP to be better [lousy wep sound >what happened to realistic weap sounds from SoC?<. too much Call of duty scripting in last 1/3 of game exct] This mod/patch sounds [from feedback] a bad move?

Just downloaded the mod (plus patch 1.05a). I really enjoy the realism. Although When starting the mission at the Ranger station, when I talk to the stalker there to start the mission it crashes every time. It creates an autosave that you can load to just before you talk to him. But once you talk to him it still crashes. I'm not sure where to find the error message, But what i can tell you is that a window pops up saying the good old "X-Ray engine has stopped working, ect"

I'm experiencing the same thing as Gosgosgosu. Can't continue playing because of repetitive crashes, which is really irritating. Will check back on new patch release.

This patch seems to have eliminated every single crash I saw in the first two zones. I restarted from scratch and have not had a single problem thus far. Old savegames might be causing crashes for people still getting them.

I do have a couple things to note. First, the looping night-vision sound is atrocious, can we change it? Second, the variable zoom scopes seem to have a graphics glitch. The moment I look through one it goes nuts until I zoom in reverse once. This may not be fixable. Lastly, are the new stashes not in the mod yet? I don't think I've found a single pre-placed item, and all the stash hints are marked as found.

Overall, top notch mod. Took some time to learn how to stay alive. Kudos.
