Blue Autumn is a Star Wars First trilogy based Action Mod for Half-Life 2. The player's perspective begins as that of a low-level Imperial stormtrooper, advancing through the storyline.

We hope to have very interconnected and fluid missions that also vary in style, objectives, and paths to completion, including:
-Policing
-Assault
-Rescue
-Defense
-Reconnaissance

To this end, missions will include moving from one stage to next, i.e. patrol, call to crime, chase, capture. The player will also be presented with choices within the missions. Should I kill or capture the suspect? Does this situation lend itself to stealth or should our squad open up and blast our way through?

Lastly on missions, over time we hope to create several campaigns or sets of missions based on a certain planet. We hope to offer a couple different planet locales. Locations will change as the story progresses

Weapons will include various weapons that fit into Star Wars canon and EU.

For multiplayer, the first goal will be a co-op system, as well as the single player. Straight multiplayer could be added in the future.

Finally, We hope to add combat involving vehicles in Star Wars canon and possibly the Expanded Universe.

In some ways, it will be linear, as you are in the role of a trooper and a lot of the duties are the same, however, I hope that as the game progresses and player is more engrossed in the overall story, to mix it up a lot.

Variety is a goal, because I know it can get boring just doing mission, mission, mission. Different worlds, short missions, long missions, increasing rank throughout the game, giving different duties.

The plan is to have different ways to accomplish your goal, as well, as you said. Also, I hope to get the missions to be somewhat tiered, with several stages. Say you are going to a fugitive's hideout on a raid with your squad. Well, there is a firefight in the house, then the guy somehow escapes out the back. You to run through. Just as you get out the door you see him jump on his speeder take off. Conveniently, there is someone driving down the alley on a speeder. Punch him in the gut, throw him off the speeder, and then chase down that fugitive. Once you catch up to him, you have the choice to kill him or to bring him in.

That was just an example we came up with early. I hope the missions to be varied and interactive, like the whole punch man...take speeder. I'm not a fan of the "convenient extra speeder" thing ;)

Story is forthcoming...now that I got some final stuff out of the way for uni :)

So is this a 'wide-band' linear mod, where you do the same thing every run through but can go about it in different ways?
