A class project in Navigation, Game features Audio only gameplay, to simulate being blind and is set in a Monty Python-ish comical world where a group of blind Monks are initiating you into their society by having you perform several audio navigatory task to help you learn to SEE with your EARS. Game Plays through in about half an hour. Created by Kyle Audick & Erik Carlson UCLA D|MA 2008

The Blind Monk's Society is five week project in Navigation. Featuring Audio only navigation set in a Monty-Python-esk World of the Blind Monks. You will need to use your headphones to take the first stumbling steps as a blind person and eventually learn how to walk blindly with confidence. You will meet many Colorful characters on your quest to help the Society and learn to SEE with your EARS. This mod is available for Download Right HERE.

You should make a horror game like this, you cant see, but you can hear, it would be so scarry...and AWSOME. Also, where can I get the jig at the end of the game? :3
I have considered making a horror version of the game, just a bit busy with other projects at the moment, but I'll probably come back to it later.
The song is in the sound folder, if you still have the mod installed. but its just a small part at the end of a song called "I Don't Know All I Know" by admiral twin

This is the only game I can claim to have finished with my eyes closed. Awesome mod, and a great sense of humor. Very good, and original idea. Expertly executed! Great job on this.
Absolutely brilliant! I've always wanted to see it would be like as a blind person. Not only did I get my blind dreams satisfied! I also got some awesome Monty Python-esque humor out of it.
Thank you so much! It would be interesting next time to introduce possibilities of death, physical items (running into walls or trees or chairs or random people. The best way a blind person navigates is through touch, but if thats not a possibility, at least introduce some random objects to run into that identify the location. besides future possibilities, I'd say great job.

This is a really incredible mod. Not only does it serve an educational purpose, it also manages to be more entertaining than just about any other mod that I've come across. I hope that you find the time to make a second chapter.
would be easier if the guy you had to floow in the begining didnt walk like a fucking retard he made me walk in zig zags and i was like WTF stop making my walk like a dip shit its hard enought that im blind lol
