that looks pretty awesome and true to the original..... i always knew i never should have pushed that lame ass crystal into that beam...... stupid scientists.... whadda' they know?!
If you play blue-shift you find out that they did that stuff before and the made working portals with that. Problem is, without the crystal the portals can't be stabilized.
Ah, but the ones used for the portals weren't as pure as the one you pushed into the antimatter thingamajigg. They even say "This is the purest sample we've found yet. And possibly the most unstable."
In HL2 EP2 you get told by Eli, that the G-Man gave that material to them.

They have done a better job than Valve did in HL2 in the most part, however they do need to add some dark spots and a few worn down areas since Black Mesa isn't a brand new facility, is it now? (Or atleast that's what I've infered.) BTW your shadows are amazing! Your models are also exceptionaly better, making the HL2 zombies look outdated! I think that this will own HL2 hardcore in visual, but just make sure the gameplay will be as fun (or better :D). I don't care about sound as long as it's not repetative/annoying or the voice acting sounds silly. Awesome job so far, can't wait to see more! :) (Lol I feel like I'm some jackass critic talking like this! :P)
were assuming the anamalous materials lab is fairly new.
yea the texturing is exceptional. but it and the lighting are the things that stand out most because of the intensity of the light source and surface reflection... the texture and lighting intensity come together real well in this pic to make it look fantastic. although i would think that kind of imagery would surpass the boundaries of what kind of setting made the hl universe. its good but its not entirely hl.

mr.renegade - They deserve to get paid for this, although I don't think valve would see it as a good investment. Sure, this mod is more quality work than hl2, but I don't think they'd want to sell the same game once more, considering the fact that most fans of hl already own the game.

The texture "metalgrate008a" doens't serve it justice, though. I hope they have/will change it. Feel free to look it up in hammer.
