Run. Think. Shoot. Live. Source. Black Mesa is the Half-Life 2 total conversion of the original Half-Life game. Utilizing the Source engine and its endless array of possibilities and powers, Black Mesa will throw you into the world that started the Half-Life continuum and introduced Gordon Freeman to the world as a gun-toting, bullet-dodging Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics.

Same thoughts I had when I just saw this picture. Maybe replace the chair with a small bench? makes more sense than a lone chair out there in the hall.

Its a lab. Labs dont usually feature highly diversified architecture ;) I really really like this shot! It keeps the original feeling

I know that you want to keep it as close to HL1 as
possible, but i think that it's too much matte gray
things and the floor looks a little bit like lego.

But that's just textures, the mapping is AWESOME!

After severe budget cuts, the Black Mesa staff had to construct much of the flooring with Lego.

the texturing on some of these things somewhat contrast with everything else; specifically the box shaped object in the top-left corner, and the dishwasher-looking thing in the bottom-left. i dont know how to explain it 100% accurately word for word, but the weathering on these things almost makes them look like theyve been used in a different place and installed here not too long ago... the weathering pattern just looks different. also, the texure on those dial monitors contrast to the wall and make the models almost look like theyre not being held to the wall... i mean, its possible these little eye catchers would be fixed with the shadowing since it doesnt look like all the shadows are enabled in this pic, but its just something i noticed.

i KNEW black mesa had janitorial staff. they'll finally be revealed. or at least their equipment. also, that floor doesn't remind me of legos, it reminds me of the bumpy rubber floor that should be in labs, so good pick. and the chair, keep it. people need to sit while waiting for meetings.

people may wonder why we are freaking out over a hallway. that's not just any hallway, that's a famous hallway. and you guys hit it SPOT ON. amazing.

is great, allows someone to relaxe if only for a moment or a gaurd can post up if he sees fit.. I love how you added the custodial equipment, maybe you'll implement them in the game somehow, like just being there doing their job, get to talk to them and ****.
