Links to the steam workshop download and our discord can be found in the description! Awakening of the Rebellion is a total overhaul of Forces of Corruption. Inspired by the old RTS Star Wars: Rebellion, AotR brings many features from this game and other titles such as a more in-depth mission system, tech system, and many new units! Immerse yourself in the Galactic Civil War era as the fledgling Rebellion, the oppressive Empire, or the criminal Black Sun pirates. This mod is not for the feint of heart and will test your RTS skills with a completely overhauled AI and difficulty. Versions newer than 2.6 can be found on the steam workshop only (due to issues with the non-steam versions)

Nice, but it looks like someone beat me to it. I myself have been trying to achieve this.

So what's the secret if you can share? Is it based off the space stations ability to have different upgrade levels, or something else?

It's all Lua based. We tried to do it by bringing back the GroundBases code, but that has been locked away.

I Think this is the Phase Shield Generator. In the Old Steiner Advanced Unit Mod 3.3 for Empire at War this Building was Build the Enemy Invasion Force can't Use Reinforepoints near the Base

Are you planning on disabling multiple buildings of the same type on each planet?

this is going to sound mean.
Why? can there be a simplified less extraneous teching and building mode that isn't really based on planet its on, doesn't have the titanic credit costs, or the massive build times with the mod? can there be a less ******** mode? the mod's focus on making things complex and hard really only point out the flaws of the base game in excruciating detail. the best metaphor i can use to describe the mod at this stage is in the actual mod. you can buy a mining facility for 8000 credits. it produces 160 credits a turn. in 50 turns it will have paid for itself. every turn is about 2 minutes depending on your game speed and lag. you are sucking all the fun out of your otherwise AMAZING mod in order to make it an IRS simulator

Well its your choice to play or not to play the mod. We are aware that in AotR everything is more expensive, that's necessary to make the game harder and make loses "feel" like loses. We are trying out new stuff, that is available to us now, with more LUA knowledge. We want players to not waste 3 slots on a planet to build the best units, so that they can have more money/defensive structures aswell. If you feel like it you could also reduce all building times/prices yourself, but you will then notice why things are the way they are.
And 2.7 will also feature Tutorial Campaigns for all factions, so that everyone can learn all the "complex" additions we made in a short amount of time.

i dislike going into the xml for fear of breaking something when playing with unit values and build times. honestly ill still be giving the mod another go around when its finished. thank you for replying though, and thank you for your hard work.

Description

Here's a proof of concept we've been working on to bring something fresh to EaW ground buildings. You will now be able to upgrade certain buildings to give you larger garrisons, better production capabilities, and more credits.

However, each unit is planned to have a certain amount of weekly upkeep. If you find yourself a bit short on cash, you can downgrade a building and receive the difference back into your galactic reserve (and have a cheaper upkeep as a result). This is just a simple prototype and we plan to do a lot more with this system in the future!
