Links to the steam workshop download and our discord can be found in the description! Awakening of the Rebellion is a total overhaul of Forces of Corruption. Inspired by the old RTS Star Wars: Rebellion, AotR brings many features from this game and other titles such as a more in-depth mission system, tech system, and many new units! Immerse yourself in the Galactic Civil War era as the fledgling Rebellion, the oppressive Empire, or the criminal Black Sun pirates. This mod is not for the feint of heart and will test your RTS skills with a completely overhauled AI and difficulty. Versions newer than 2.6 can be found on the steam workshop only (due to issues with the non-steam versions)
Let's give a big celebratory welcome to our community friend, Sly442, who has graciously offered to help out with AotR! As his first contribution, he has rigged up a desperately needed New Republic Plex Assault trooper which now completes the company. This task has been on my list for a long time and it's finally great to see it happen! The New Republic is now prepared for defending newly conquered worlds against mechanized assault. Prepare to see more awesomeness from Sly!
With the New Republic finally having a formidable infantry company, I can now remove the Rebel Camp as a prerequisite to building once you are the NR and go straight to the NR barracks. You will no longer be able to buy Rebel Infantry as the New Republic now that you finally have the support for a real army.
I really cant wait to see more future changes to the New Republic in the future!
If i may be so bold. Ask the chaps at the battlefront commander team for there infantry models and animations because they blow the vannila game ones out of the water in terms of quality. Now I know you want to do your own thing with the mod but In my and my friends experience some EAW mods do differnt things better and i personaly would like to see more consestent quality work. If you would like further elaboration reply or send me and email or message and i will make a power point going into further detail.
But good work either way.
This looks absolutely amazing! Finally, there can be an infantry dedicated to destroying enemy vehicles! :D
