Reposting here:Couple of things, the english adaptation link lead to a file which you could not download. Also, the 3 parts were in very wierd filetype which did not allow me to do anything with them.

Also changing the file extensions to .7zip or .zip allows me to try to extract them, but if I do then all that happens is that WinRAR/7Zip tells me that it's corrupt. And if I try to open it it just says that it cannot be opened as an archive, this is only for the 3 parts, the patch and the 1.0006 to 1.0004 both work fine.

I used the steam adaption thing in the main download but I still get the "insert disc" thing everytime I try to launch

I don't have a Steam (I'm using DVD version) so idea which I only have it's downloading no-dvd/crack file, making a backup of old XR3DA.exe and playing by using this crack...

Hey Mr V, I think I have a story line problem We arrive to Leila, and she tells us a little story about a small group of young thug occupied the city - yet no marker on map, and I can't find anyone else cept leilas worriers - according to the walkthrough they yell from bushes. But it hasn't happened?

There is possibility that they weren't spawn. Just reload autosave from the Deadcity and take the task from Leila again.

Oh thats's right the other thing was gun information on screen in the bottom right hand corner, is very small, I have no idea how many rounds\magazines I have.I suppose there is no easy way to make it larger?

Many of the guns wont fire except from the BM 16, 1911, Makarov, and AN 94 (Abakan). These are the only weapons I've run into so far that have worked so they may not be alone. The ones that wont fire are the AK-74, AK-47, AK-74u, and the Thompson. They all had ammo, but most of them were below 100% condition except for the AK-74u & AK-74.

-Also, is there a way to disable suits dropped on dead NPCs? Just personal preference.

The link for the patch is dead. Where else can I get it? It's possible the the .pdf I downloaded has been updated and the links bad. I can't find the link for the .pdf at this point in time.

I got a Issue when i get the reward for returning the pda from the factory on the peace corps map I keep crashing. Any ideas why?

Which game version? Steam/DVD? Try to load autosave from location and then try again.

I have seen a couple of breads and a sausage and that's it, my hunger is now in the red - trying to trade with fellow mono ludite thians and once a bread appeared, so the question is - is this bad luck on my part ( given random factor ) or part of the plot ( to add tension ? ) and will I kick the bucket with starvation?

No, it's your bad luck, just that's how scripts are written. But I've found solution which can help you. When you're trading with someone and you won't find any food, press ESC and then trade again - the content will be different. Try few times, you should find something.

Ah, good idea, I wondered about it and should have tried it, no fun with a rumbling tummy - also there is a hint of repetitive theme of 'go here do this, go there do that' appearing. Is this the way the whole game is? ( not that it's not fun, but ya know, just wondering )

No no, it's only begininng. Later the quests are much interesting (escorts, defenses, rushes, and really nice quests like marked a mutants for Sakharov).

Oh, I see. However, the shortcut is saying that I need to insert the CD disc, although I freshly installed it from there.

I understand you've Steam version, so:

From FAQ:

Q: Is it compatible with Steam?
A: In downloaded package you can find "Tools, add-ons" directory. Open it and use Gamedata from "Steam users" directory. You should put it into on ST2 + AA2 adaptation. Then download this file and replace in /BIN directory.

I use the disc 1.0006 version, although I used to utilise the Steam version. It didn't work out well, so I bought a disc copy. I deleted the whole game with original AA2 and ENB and reinstalled from the aforementioned disc, launched the game to make sure it worked, and installed AA2+ST2 adaptation according to the instructions. I used the downgrade tool as well. Still, no luck.
