Description

Special thanks to modders Du}{ and Sudno for this model. This is the Ultra-Light Assault Vehicle or ULAV. An anti-infantry vehicle for the Rebel Alliance.

Balancing this was tricky as I did not want the AT-RT to end up completely phased out. So I went with trade-offs. The AT-RT is going to be buffed. It will be a bit more effective against infantry, yet will still fall short of the ULAV, but one will get 3 AT-RT's, while only 2 ULAV's per group. I am essentially giving the player the choice between quantity or quality The ULAV is just all around better anti-infantry when compared to the AT-RT. it offers bit more armor, has heavier guns and more guns, but again, you get less per group.

Despite having more armor than the AT-RT, which is the case for most vehicles anyway, the ULAV is still relatively squishy. Anti-vehicle turrets can two-shot it depending on upgrades. The AT-DP and its little brother the AT-ST can eat this thing quite easily. Think of the Swamp Speeder from the base game, except now you have more dakka. The ULAV will hit a bit harder and possesses a very high rate of fire, which can be further increased due to its ability. The missile launcher is very light as well. It will deal minor damage against armor; it is more geared towards infantry. It also comes with a turret mounted on the rear, which is also geared towards infantry, but can also attack and threaten slow moving air units. That gives it limited anti-air, at least in the rear.

For Rebel players, pair it with your infantry or use it as perimeter defense. Do not spearhead with it as it is not meant for leading assaults anyway. It works best as escort, camping chokepoints and or CP's. For the Imperial player, if you see this vehicle and it is near your infantry, just have them retreat. It will cut them down quite easily.
