Increased availability for EVERY UNIT, yes; EVERY SINGLE ONE. Wars are fought with Armies, not a conglomeration of what was left over in the bottom of the barrel. -Increased realism for all weapon ranges. Whether it be the fully realistic tank gun ranges that I have added, right down the year. Tank ranges are affected by what shells were available at that specific point in time. For example; an M60a1 has much less range than an M60A3. Both possess the same gun, however the shells available during the 1960s were not as advanced as those available later on. -Increased AA ranges and damage system. -Realistic ATGM ranges, along with added speed. -Realistic IFV Auto-cannon ranges coupled with a boost in machine gun range. -Planes fly MUCH higher now, and dogfights are a wondrous sight. -Helicopters fly higher also, this makes them much more realistic (Who the hell flies through trees??) -Artillery has been made deadlier -Balance through realism, welcome to All Out War!
Ok guys so i released an update today to get the mod up and running again.
As you all probably know the israeli forces are coming soon and I'd like to update the mod to include them as well as other DLC nations that have/will be added. The problem is that the way the mod tools and the game engine work i will have to redo the whole mod all over again... yes all 1400 units and the other tweaks.
However I am working with W:AB Noob from the modding forums on a possible shortcut. If this pans out it will make the next update quick and easy and thats good for all of us, mostly you though!
Then later down the road when the holidays roll around I'd like to get into the big suggested changes that people post on the forums. Some units swaps, units speeds, and fuel consumption are the big three.
This is just the beginning!
UPDATE: The shortcut is not possible for the kind of changes I make to units. Therefore I DO have to start from scratch. I'd like to wait for all announced nation packs (so 2 more) that way I can include them all and not have to do this again. So with that in mind I think we're looking at some time in early to mid 2017. Sorry if that's bad news for some people but that's just the way it works out. I wish i could make the changes and have it out tomorrow, but the truth is that I've had a build of this mod going since 2014 and It was a long but worthwhile road. I would like it to continue and see it through to the end, so for now I am going to keep improving the version we have until it is polished and then when the nations are all out I'll redo the whole mod. Right now we need to focus on ironing out bugs/discrepancies and finding the game balance, I have a small patch due for next week that changes Recon availability to be more, tanks get only trained stacks of 40 for NATO and 46 for PACT. Helicopters get real squadron sizes of Trained also. Unlimited infantry transports. 10v10 maps, and a couple other things. Veterancy will be earned on the battlefield not bought beforehand. These changes make playing an armored deck for example more worthwhile because you get an experience bonus making your tanks hardened.
With that said lets get more players interested and on the discord! I wanna see people talking and making game lobbies! Lets have some fun people!
