• Ranges are increased greatly for all units/weapons.
  • Availability is increased across the board
  • Autonomy increased
  • Supply drain decreased slightly
  • New AA balance for all 3 types: SPAAG, IRSAM, RADARSAM;
  • SPAAGs are deadly but close range
  • IRSAMs are deadly against Helos and planes to Medium range
  • RADARSAMS are deadly against planes to extreme range, but terrible against low flying helos because of ground clutter
  • ATGMs outrange tanks within their range bracket, added with a 25% attack from concealment damage bonus it makes ambushes deadly.
  • Recon/sight ranges increased
  • Artillery does more damage, so it is no longer explicitly a suppression tool. Hunting down enemy arty and silencing it is a priority

Combat takes place at greater ranges and most units are deadlier because of it, many new sight lines are now available on maps making certain routes no longer safe. Cautious movement and careful planning is more important. Zerg rush tactics effectiveness has been greatly reduced in many cases. A rush can be fired upon from much longer ranges because most cheap rush units are far outclasses by regular or newer units i.e. a T-34 or T-55 rush would not be able to fire until closing in to about 2500m; while most medium price NATO tanks can fire out to 3200-3500m.

In most cases the thing that will win the combat is superior positioning, the specific unit matters less and the amount matters less.

AOW Bug report thread

Hey everyone, I want to make this article a bug report thread.

1. If you could comment obvious bugs/discrepencies I.E. two identical units like T-55 from East Germany and T-55 from poland having different stats. or a broken weapon or range etc.

2. Also if you find conflicting historical information, I.E. a different Range or something being regarded as very accurate but is not ingame, something like that; those can go here too.

3. Lastly; any gameplay change suggestions in the realm of possibility that you may find better. I.E. "infantry need more transports"

I WILL NOT ACCEPT UNINTELLIGENT/UNSUPPORTED ARGUMENTS OR BS.

I.E. "AI 2 HARD PLZ NERF" or "NORTH KOREA BEST KOREA NEED CHEAP UNITS MAKE BEST KOREA OP RULE WORLD"

I'd like to make a list from here and it would help me address them quicker. don't have the time to play every nation and try every unit to see if all is in order. All your feedback will help me make it better.

hey there, how about fixing some problems with west germany? West germany did have the hawk system and also the patriot launchers? If you dont add them, does somebody know how to do it?

I hope that the 15.000k gun range for the Russian cruisers is an error, also the weapon ranges for the NATO cruiser are very bad. I find these issues make it unplayable in navel battles. Anyways I am glad you are still working on this mod. Thank you.

In real life helicopters fly low to avoid Sams and they actually have tactics to hove 1-3 metes above the ground
