The Northern Excursion mod (once called the "Extreme Realism" mod) is a game-enhancement mod that introduces a new faction, the "North American Coalition" (NAC), re-introduces the jet fighter/bomber air vehicle types from Battlefield 2 and also brings back old features which were left out of the original Battlefield 2142 such as stationary machine guns, visual effects, unused voice overs and more.

Cool and unexpected, a little bit similar to the one seen in BF2142´s beta

It is the same silo from the beta, only this time it's fully animated and will have some minor additions to it to make it fit on sloped terrain when it's done.

I actually found it in the BF2142 files but it isn't used so I guess you got a very convenient model with animations ;)

We decided to replace the vanilla "BLOC-3" anti-titan missile launcher with a more updated version which I just call the "BLOC-4". This version of the missile launcher is more animated and a bit smaller in comparison to the "BLOC-3".

We replaced the older missile silo because we wanted, for our some of our new maps, for silos to fit on hills and mountains. The previous missile launcher was way too flat and didn't fit on sloped terrain very well, so we decided to replace it with this missile launcher which can fit better onto sloped terrain. It's not quite finished yet however and needs some more work for it to fit on sloped terrain.
