2117 is a tactical, objective-driven, team-based FPS mod, using Valve’s source engine.
Set in the year 2117 on a planet that has been ravaged by natural disasters, ever increasing global warming and pollution, where most wealthy citizens have fled to off-world colonies. In a time where large corporations, syndicates and conglomerates have taken control of Earth, this mod puts the player in the role of a gang-member fighting as a mercenary for one of these large corporations.
As players progress through the maps, they are given access to a bigger and better arsenal of weaponry as well as personal upgrades, such as cybernetic implants, to help them achieve their objectives.

• Objective driven
• Timed round structure
• Fast paced action mixed with tactical elements
• Dark, engaging sci-fi storyline
• Fight in a variety of environments (desert, cities, junkyards, industrial wasteland)
• Mix of futuristic weapons and old ‘antiques’, such as AK47

• Progress in prestige within your gang to unlock bigger and better weapons as well as bio-implant upgrades
• Three-stage maps, where the scenario for the second stage is dependent on the result of the first stage, etc.

After a long time working on the detailed background/story of this mod and working out all the plans for game-rules and features, we have now got fully going on the art side of things.
Our newest member Qu1ksh0t has been working on a superb H-K XM-8 model, and is almost finished. 'All' it needs now is optimising, skinning, animating and getting in-game ;).
Other weapons are also underway, including the Walther P99 and the hand-to-hand weapons.

Not dead... just sleeping very heavily ;)
TBH, since starting this project I have had a couple of kids, that are taking up most of my time now.
The main reason this mod fell over was that my three coders all left me!!
1 decided he didn't want to do it afterall, as he is a pro-coder all day...
1 moved and got himself a girl ;)
1 stopped working for himself and got a full time job.
I'd love to get this mod up and running again, I still have the whole thing planned out, down to small details...I just can't code!!! All it needs is a couple of experienced coders, and this could be a great mod.
