2117 is a tactical, objective-driven, team-based FPS mod, using Valve’s source engine.
Set in the year 2117 on a planet that has been ravaged by natural disasters, ever increasing global warming and pollution, where most wealthy citizens have fled to off-world colonies. In a time where large corporations, syndicates and conglomerates have taken control of Earth, this mod puts the player in the role of a gang-member fighting as a mercenary for one of these large corporations.
After a long time working on the detailed background/story of this mod and working out all the plans for game-rules and features, we have now got fully going on the art side of things.
Our newest member Qu1ksh0t has been working on a superb H-K XM-8 model, and is almost finished. 'All' it needs now is optimising, skinning, animating and getting in-game ;).
Other weapons are also underway, including the Walther P99 and the hand-to-hand weapons.
