Imagine a world where the Allies didn't win the war, nor did the Axis. Instead, the war just continued on and on in an unsteady stalemate. Welcome, to the world of 1949. In this world Germany decided not to bomb London, but instead continued its attacks on Britain's airfields. Then, the Russians lost at Kursk. Finally, D-Day fails. With these victories, Germany has managed to halt the Allie's progress. In the Western Theatre, the Allies and the Axis each plan the invasion of the other's vital territories. In the Pacific, Japan and the United States are dueling over tiny islands with giant fleets and atomic weapons. Now, the stalemate is about to be broken. Germany is preparing an all out invasion of Britain. As tough and valiant as the Allied troops defending the Sceptered Isle are, some of their leaders are beginning to that they will be unable to hold against the Wehrmacht.

Looks awesome, do the shotguns actually work like shotguns? Or do they just have really short but fatal range limits?

I don't know how he set it up in his mod, but they function basically in the same manner as the CW Stuart shotgun round, where it basically has a high scatter rate.

I'd say not since a melee system in CoH would be very difficult to implement.

Or so i've heard.

Besides, I wanted to start testing how the weapon would function in game, and how it would look in the hands of troops. Death physics were secondary in comparison, by my reckoning. I knew he would be able to fix before full release anyway (he was).

Description

West Coast Veterans were made using infantry skins from Widowmaker1, and the M12 Trenchgun by BurtonDrummerNY. The shots were taken on Alsace Moselle, by WhiteFlashReborn (just in case I should credit him too). With all my credit bases covered, enjoy these screenshots of the West Coast Veterans, an incredibly powerful offensive unit.

These men received their baptism of fire on the West Coast of the United States, when the Japanese managed to land an invasion force on the U.S. mainland. The Japanese were quick to secure their position, and were able to dig in and establish defensive lines and pockets all the way from Southern California to Washington State. America sent in everything possible. These men are the survivors of that action. They've been through house to house fighting in neighborhoods some of them recognized, and have generally seen some of the worst sights of war. Once Japan's invasion was thwarted, these men were re-tasked to Europe, where their expertise fighting in urban and forested environments could be of use in removing fortified German positions. These men are tough as nails, and are willing to die, and more importantly kill, for their country to avenge the humiliation inflicted on her.
