The models are seriously amazing, but I liked the old one's level design much more. I kinda don't like that this one had more emphasis on humour rather than portraiting the fact how much war sucks (even with unrealistic tools, as seen in the original HoE). It was reassuring that we didn't have to screw around with that brickhead Barney though, it was rather annoying in the original mod.

I have a CD won version and it's still not running.

The game crashes approximately 15 seconds after startup. Is it because I'm running the non-steam version?

lol I dunno, I had problems like this before too, but since I downloaded the 1.41 patch or wtf, it works. Try to google the latest generals zero hour patch (Im not sure it's the 1.4, maybe there is a newer one), maybe your pc doesn't meet the minimal requirements or I dunno. I suggest you ask ScreamingCricket (the dude with Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop on his avatar) or any other modders.

So far this is the best mod but please change the picture of the Salvage general because it's ugly as ****! Literally makes me puke.

I just downloaded this mod, and I think it's awesome so far. It is very difficult against bots, but vs player I think it could be very good. I suggest you make the ARVN race instead of VC, NVA will do. Oh, and the voices of the US soldiers suk. I miss that "We're gonna send you home in a box, little boy" attitude. I miss the passion. If you wish I can send you some samples about what I mean.

lol I love freelancer but the mods I downloaded so far suk, actually I don't think anyone else plays it exept me.

This mod uses a lot of sounds from Half-life 1, eg helicopter, rocket launcher on chinese tank, Us. Marine marine sounds from Opposing force etc etc, however I love it.

I have an engine error too.
