It is also one of the toughest units we have made, as it went through several versions and revisions as we couldnt decide on how it should look :) I am myself pretty satisfied with it, N5's tough-ups went really great :)

Will there be some aliens in the game or it will be human-only?

In the space, will it act as being in space, meaning that the movement may become very crazy as you can rotate on all axis, starships and space stations will have thrusters all around themselves to rotate, and most importantly, will there be bigger ships (like 100m or so, or more)? And if so, would they be command-able? :)

When there will be factions, does it mean that while the random generation of the area surrounding you may be determined on the place where you are on planet, like that faction A controls the northern pole so when you are there the randomness will make it its more likely to find faction A settlements, bases and forces?

Quite odd that Eclipse got human cruiser when their numbers are a lot more made from asari and salarians (humans are there, like nearly everywhere). With Blue Suns I would understand it much more.

You mean the render (the same like all others) or the wallpaper? If it is the wallpaper, than it is not made in the actual game, but made in the modeling program made by Keksz. The shader of the water is just some shader he has as a texture. In the game water will look very much the same as you know, it may potentially be slightly (very slightly) transparent so that the submarines will be more visible, but in these terms it will be the same good old ZH :)

For the submarines, just as a note they will dont have an animation to sink in under the water surface, but will be stealthed. Just for a clarification that there are no misunderstandings :)
