Strafer is a nickname I have given it. Ground target won't make sense as it is a space unit.

Well, than it doesnt make muh sense why it is included, isnt it? :)
It will be a space unit. Choosing to ignore it's ground capabilities. It will be the predecessor (18 BBY) to the TIE/sa Bomber (17 BBY) and for all intents and purposes is just a light version of the latter yet slightly faster and more agile.
