I do wubs and sounds, atmos and FX.
I guess everything has already been said about this game. Even our local TV-Station brought a documentation about it. If you haven't played it yet: do it!
Just like Metro 2033, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat has this special post-apocalyptic atmosphere that just keeps you playing even though the graphics and animations are not that much up to date (but still nice to look at).
Another thing I like is, that the gameplay of your character feels even more realistic than in the first S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game. You have to eat, to sleep, the weight of your backpack influences your movement-speed and you don't just *bam* heal from 10/100 to 100/100 with a medkit.
Just as garrysmod, this game is hard to review. It's beautiful, it's perfect, there is no goal in this game which opens up an infinite number of goals to you that you create yourself. The world is yours in minecraft.
Lay back and chill.
Ambient music slows you down while you move your little bubble through blue world full of other bubbles with different abilities to stop you from growing.
You need to kill 30 minutes? Osmos is the game! Perfect for a break, but only for that, because it can bore you after a time.
This game is hard to review.
It's not even a real game. It's everything you can do and everything you ever wanted to try. It's a giant playground, for scientists and coders as well as for 12-year-olds with squeaky voice.
You can do everything you want, with everything in the world.
Build a fortress out of bananas - Blow it up - Build a plane - Paint it blue - Give it badass rayguns - kill Dr. Breen with it - or download a Rick Astley NPC and blow him up - build a labytinth - under water - ...
And the best thing is: You can do it with your friends. And it just never gets old.
If I could rate the book then I would rate it with 10/10, too. Both, the book and the game, create an unbelievable atmosphere in the course of the story.
The textures are sharp, the light-effects are nice, the voices are lovely and the music as well. There is so many love in this game, many details and things you miss when you play it just once. This, and the alternate ending, makes it worth to play the game more than once. This is why I give Metro 2033 10 out of 10 points.
Not as good as Episode 2, but still a marvelous game. I especially like the soundtrack in the hospital part, and how Alyx grows to Gordon in the course of the events of Episode 1 & 2. The graphics are as nice as always and the overall atmosphere on the same level as HL2.
All in all it's like an addition to the original HL2. It's not some "new" but some "more" HL. 9/10
This could actually be an official Halflife Episode.
So much content and a nice story. The atmosphere is thrilling and the script sequences are sweet. Even though I got stuck sometimes, this is one of my all time favourite mods.
This is defenetly the most detailed awesome mod I've ever played. So many great script sequences, so many great ideas to make the atmosphere even more tense, so many times I crapped my pants!!!
Lovely terrifying :) 10/10
