(I don't know if this is reality but I also think this doesn't look bad. In a good movie the reality will be exaggerated because otherwise it looks too normal, and you wouldn't notice those things if they didn't make it more visible)

looking at the video, is it too hard to make the impact of bullets at an angle?
the explosion is in slow motion to make it easier to see whats happening?(but will be at normal speed when playing)
depending on how big the stream of water is, the ripples are too big, they need to be smaller the further they go from the point of origin.

wouldnt it be better that you make the animations of the axe when attacking stop at the zombie and you pull it back?
(maybe in a later stage you can make that the axe really sticks in the face and you kick the body of, and use secondary attack to try to chop the head of from the side)

and the animations of the t-rex biting the spinosaur looks like the dino just slides his teeth around the neck when he floors the spinosaur, shouldn't the neck of the t-rex bend when going down.
hmmyeah this is probably a showcase and not an ingame feature so these points don't really mean anything for the game :)
the sound could use a little more bass. But I don't really know how they make sound (probably not like the raptor but maybe something like it..)

It also depends on how much of the city the combine have conquered. It would be illogical to fly into the "red zone" because it would have a low succes rate.
Personally i like the 3rd idea because I like to walk around in strange places with alot of stuff to look at.
