Can anyone help? I heard this mod has the lord_kilms "extreme forts mod" which adds fort walls upgrades, but where are they? After the "bastion" upgrade on the walls i get nothing more...i've looked through all available cards on all nations...nothing at all to hint at the fort walls upgrade.

I looked inside the protoy.xml and it seems the techs are there but why are they not appearing in game?

Will walls/gates ever be buildable in quick battles? Even if the simplest was was to add them as just two structures, one is a "middle" part which makes up most of the wall, and the other is a "corner segment" or "tower segment" which thus makes up the towered bit's I see.

This and gates would be awesome...man, i wish this game shipped with walls and gates as turning them into like lazer grids or steel re-enforced concrete in later ages (say in a seperate mod) would be even more awesome. But hey, that's just me.

Also agree the campaign is a must! I'm sure you'll find a way :), i think a tiering system would help balance it too, that and the relation to war gear upgrades relates to technology you can upgrade/use in the field, same with assault HQ maps.

It would also be amazing if for the campaign release you found out how to make the buildings you place on maps, remain there when you need to "defend" a level, that was one of the most awesome features of dark crusade that was removed from soulstorm for some reason...but yeah, especially with the fact most races can now build walls, this would rock.

As would, finally, allowing for certain win conditions in the campaign such as "heros" which is a must, also the "fortress defenses" addon for buffed defenses as well as a few others :), if possible, however long that takes, would make for an ultimately enjoyable campaign :D.

Well, nothing new on here for 5 months...no sign of ironman5000 on the Nexus doing stuff "himself" (claims to be waiting for dogtown to release a new version), so I think it's safe to say the mod is complete as is, shame...was really hoping for more additions of resources people released such as some awesome giant versions of golems etc.

Late to the part but, this creature isn't in the mod, I've search everywhere and doesn't exist, i guess it was left out in the end. there is no sign of stone giant anywhere :S

AFAIHS...

Judging by the cover is always a must.

Apart from 6 or 7 books I have, most of of the covers have been representative of...well an awesome book lol.

Not true for games though...IMO gta's have **** covers but are awesome games.

As for mods...something titled "LOLEDS W00TZORZ MODDD" with no picture or description = 99% of the time...crap.

On the other hand something titled "Legends of the eternal phoenix fires" with like 100 pics and 6 pages of text...could well as well indeed by rubbish.

Overall I'd say its a gamble really, check it out and judge for your self is what i do :)

Getting harder? Not really. It's just a lot of games don't ship modding tools anymore, or their files are generally "Hands off!!!".

Anything LUA, XML, or C++, or maybe even some other variations of those 3 I can handle :).

Question.

Does this (or will this) feature EVERY single vehicle from all 3 games? As I would absolutely love that!! As I always wished i could get the bullet proof securicar from GTA3 or explosion proof, bullet proof car from VC etc.

You know what would be even better? Incoperating all the missions from the 3 games as well, and maybe some new ones too.

Make sure your keeping an eye on this mod page people or MODB's "main" news section :).

(I.E Via clicking "PC" on the main page then "news" for example) because in the coming few days, there's going to be a major progress report featuring information about:

-Content that will be in RC3
-Current things/features I'm working on
-Screenshots of more icons, units, buildings, etc
-Questions you want answered, features you'd like to see
-Taking the mod to the next level

So pay attention, "Track" my mod if it helps, and most importantly make sure you give me as much constructive feedback as possible :).
