Admiral Ferak Pao, or Admiral Pao as he is more commonly referred to, is the commander of the Third Imperial Fleet. He is a distinguished officer, fighting in many minor battles and some major ones, including the famous Battle of Nal Hutta, in which he commanded one of the two battle groups of the Third Imperial Fleet that engaged Jedi Master Sabers fleet, executing a perfect counter to the Ackbar Slash, and eventually destroyed the threat posed by the flanking enemy force.

Lord Kairn, commander of the fleet during the battle, gave both Rear Admiral Pao and Rear Admiral Harx, who lead the second battle group, a promotion to Vice Admiral in the Third Fleet as well the prestigious Medal of Valour. Kairn also gave his personel recognition, which helped both men advance in their careers.

Eventually Pao rose to become a Fleet Admiral, taking over command of the Third Fleet under various Sith Lords. However due to the fact that the number of competent Sith Lords has diminished over the past few years, Admiral Pao commands the fleet on his own.

Of course, the Sith have posted various Sith overseers to ensure loyalty and efficiency, but that is only official procedure. Admiral Pao dislikes the Sith overseers, considering them an interference more than anything.

Paos relationship with the newest Sith Overseer, Darth Tihr, is strained at best. Both men believe themselves to be superior, more experienced, and this can lead to rather heated arguments. Until Tihr proves himself capable in battle, Pao is more than happy to simply ignore the Sith and continue on with his work.

OOC: It is an honest, but rather pleasant, coincidence that Kairn commanded the Third Fleet during the battle of Nal Hutta. I chose that battle because it was the biggest one we've ever had, and the one most likely to lead to important promotions, without realizing Kairn had temporary command of that fleet during that time. *shrugs*
