Quick! Think of a number! Now multiply that number by 1.4, and subtract 2 from that number. Anything you'd want to know about me is somewhere between that number and banana.
We are hung up on the code at the moment. After that, there's another good bit of work to be done preparing the maps, making sure all the new mechanics such as combat work and are balanced, lots of playtesting, voice work, and lots of little things that either aren't worth mentioning by themselves or haven't come up yet.
Thanks for your concern and kind words =)
It's not "dead" yet; production has not been abandoned.
-MS:S is currently using Black Mesa: Source style release date estimation.
-It's a completely different game. There will be no porting of characters or levels from MS:C.
-Servers will likely still operate the same as far as LAN and Server-side character hosting goes. Whether or not there will be a central server is undecided as of yet, as are some of the specifics of the system.
-Thank you! =)
Nope, we're not dead. Hence the release of media and reference to the mod's future. ;)
Thothie's system would indeed fall close to Diablo/Torchlight/Fate. Not perfectly, but close. ;)
Thanks! Feel free to drop by the forums, say hi, and give us your feedback. Msremake.com
Consider it a request for Master Sword: Continued, if that helps, as it's really their web server anyways ;)
I just thought I would do a little drive to raise some funds for their server, in the spirit of brotherhood and thankfulness.
Criticism seen and internalized. You might notice that even I took the liberty of poking a little fun at myself. No excuses, results, and all that. If any of you would be willing to help, you know how to contact me.
Well, I downloaded it and played it. The Left 4 Dead sounds were a nice touch. Was it just me though, or did the guns not work at all?
Your level of enthusiasm has won my download.
I send him an invitation to the team a couple days ago now. Up to him ;)
One thing you must remember, MS:C has been in development for about a decade essentially, while the first release of MS:S will be just that. It naturally won't be as robust, elegant, or complex as MS:C right off the bat.
Tell you have the Intrepid class Federation ship in there, and I'll seriously consider buying Sins just for this mod.
The odds of me buying RA3 just for this mod nearly jumped to 100%.
Promise me you'll have the Super CO Power music in there somewhere ;)
What's that song? I've been searching for it for years.
We've already had a Texture Artist and a Sound Designer join the team since I posted this. Both have some impressive qualifications, and hopefully you'll get to meet them soon. ;)
... the crap?
"this mod not coming out never!"
This mod will never come out
The above statement is false. Whether Master Sword: Source is released, or later on another MS mod is made on another engine, some matter of sequel will arise.
Still playing through, just wanted to let you guys know you've done an amazing job.
After I got the pistol, I unloaded the whole clip into the window. Those of you that have played know why. I haven't panicked that much since F.E.A.R. Files. Excellent. Now I'm in a room with only one way out, an axe, and that girl waiting for me to exit.
Yeah, you might wanna change the name.
This is They Hunger in name only. I'm not gonna say I didn't like the gameplay I saw in your latest video. Guns, models, and ported map actually looked kinda fun. It's just not They Hunger. If you were trying to **** off longtime They Hunger fans (like me), you shoulda kept it closer to the original while just all out screwing with it.
tl;dr Looks interesting, but if you were trying to irritate longtime TH fans you failed.
We will be releasing the game as a beta. To wait for a completely finished product would take... way too long...
I was unable to bring my jaw to the closed, shut, and locked position for the duration of your newest trailer.
No. Similar name, but no.
It's set in the Fate Sworn universe, a unique and original fantasy setting originally created by Lanethan.
Yeah, it was. This is a very early shot of the temple in Master Sword: Source. The theme of duality is back again ;)
Temporary MS:C forum relocation provided by the MS:S team.
"If it has multiplayer"?
Buddy, that's practically the whole point here. ;)
Singleplayer for Master Sword is just playing by yourself on a multiplayer server.
Anyway, no we're not dead. Our coder is currently reworking the majority of the code, while the rest of the team is on a bit of a hiatus until summer.
Not dead, just sleeping.
It is amazing.
The Soup has spoken.
It's a rusty short sword. Model WIP.
We're not going to release any Alpha builds to the public.
We're not dead. Just going through a rough patch. There's a bit more activity on the forums:
