After playing for quite a bit, I have noticed one thing that bugs me. It seems that even if you make it to a checkpoint, and die, you go back to that checkpoint as expected, however you have seemingly no chance for a gold ranking because your gold count for the level is reset. Is this on purpose?
Normally not a huge deal, but on some of the longer/harder levels, especially with those damned frogs, its rage inducing, lol.
(after thinking this through a bit more it makes sense. if you die once your not worthy of a gold ranking, but question is still asked just to be sure)
Ok, what is the best way to avoid the frog's tongue? Those island hopping parts are annoying the crap out of me, lol
I can confirm the 404 error is back as of 9/14, other games on desura are still downloading fine.

(OH, also not huge, but if you look at the party quests area, all of the names have a & before and after them. Example: &Logan&)
Ok, I've had a chance to play a little bit and so far I've noticed a few things. First off balance of difficulty is almost spot on, so kudo's for that. My issue with the graphics was my fault, never edited the video.scr file to unlock the graphics farther than the menus allow.
Elemental chance, particularly with fire, seems a bit odd. It seems that the only time a blade with a fire chance (Like the BBQ Blade) don't catch an enemy on fire until after they die, making kind of pointless they are on fire, and hurting me because I forget and try to walk over them. They almost never catch fire before they die, they take the extra damage from a normal hit, but not the burning damage when on fire. (does not seem to happen in vanilla, however the stats for the BBQ blade are a bit lower in vanilla)
There seems to be an odd bug where if I have a throwable weapon in my equip radial and open the inventory, when I back out, my char will always equip one of the throwables, regardless of what weapon I had equipped before entering the inventory. (does not happen in vanilla)
In the first camp (Paradise or something) and you go to the storage guy to get his camping quest, it never saves the fact that you picked up the quest. If you quit, and start again, the game always acts as if you never picked up the quest. (I know that making new quests are a bit tricky so this isn't a huge deal)
Also in the first camp, just to the right of storage guy is the woman who sends you to the beach to get supplies, and then her next quest is to get cans of food for money (vanilla) The beach quest works fine, however the second quest she wants a frying pan? Wouldn't be much of an issue (although a bit odd) but I have never seen a frying pan in Riptide, just in DI. (may not be a bug, but seeing how it is changed to a frustrating find quest (since again, have never seen a frying pan in game) and takes out a good money maker, thought I would bring it up.
It is harder, but not frustratingly so, which is awesome. I will have those moments where I should most likely back up and reassess the situation, but I charge head-long into my quick death :).
I have noticed that sometimes zombies just pop into view, forcing me to quickly re-calculate how I'm going to attack, and the bodies don't stay around as long as I would like, but both are most likely caused by engine limits.
For the most part though its perfection (haven't gotten too far to find many blueprints yet though, did find one of the new quests in the first basecamp)

Out of curiosity, I noticed that "Like A Rock" (vanilla Fury tree for Xian, second tier) is not in the default Mod tree. Were some skills purposefully omitted? (more like I most likely just missed it)
