The game closes when navigating the menus and makes the screen black until i alt tab or ctrl+alt+del, with xray still running as a process (but no application open). I just started this so i hope this doesn't happen in the game.
I'm late on reading this, but I have a few things to say:
-Thank you for making a difference with the rubles. In the vanilla games it's assumed it's just money wired to a bank account (I guess Stalkers love debit cards :P) Will make trading more interesting.
Also, what are the max carry weight limits? Specifically how high is it for the assaulter? I always hoard ammo, so I guess I'd have to go with him or Sniper (since ammo usage will be lower anyway for a sniper).
You know I've been thinking, I love the minimap and sound detector/enemy awareness thing in the vanilla hud, this isn't a realistic thing, so it is obviously removed. However, it would be cool if you could bring out your PDA like a detector, and display that helpful information in a more realistic way, with a trade off you're vulnerable, maybe even display mission objectives and messages.
Also, I've been thinking, a mod like this would increase the value of a sidearm, and since COP allows two non sidearms to be equipped, how about a sidearm/pistol gets its own slot so it can still be quickly equipped if things go bad, without having to switch out slots in the inventory screen? Less time in the inventory screen, more in game.
Just some thoughts :) Maybe you guys are already working on something like that.
Nightmare Creatures always conveyed a sense of abandonment to me with its areas (with the exception of all the monsters). And if you remember the Pepys monster, that thing was just scary.
Is there a rough ETA? I don't mind waiting, but would like to know when to get ready, as I'm getting a new PC quite soon and need to know when to redownload and configure CoP again.
This really excites me, and the recap does give a good idea of what settings to be ready for. deserts of egypt? surely not Shadow out of Time inspired :P
And ah, Dark Corners of the Earth, if they gave that game a little bit more polish to get rid of the bugs and round out some of the crazy difficult areas it would be perfect.
Is there a way to lower the headbobbing while walking? I'm okay with it when sprinting, but it just feels too topsy turvy when walking/running regularly.
Bandits in Yanov had this problem too. I don't want to kill a bandit in Misery 2.0 and become relatively rich from selling 30 guns XD

When they sleep :P
Play it safe, put your stash in the middle of a bloodsucker lair.
That's one awesome looking monster :) Reminds me of Destroyah's crab form a bit.

Actually yes I do, those things scared the bejeesus out of me, especially when those damn harpy things were always around them.

Nightmare Creatures? So I can slice up monsters with a bladed staff? :P
jk. It looks really promising.
Interesting! Thanks for the info you two.
You know ive never seen this gun before, is this like a cut down 551 commando?
Hope this releases soon! Can't wait.
Cool, thanks!

Almost looks like i can hold it...*reaches at monitor* I can almost feel the bumps of the grip!
(buried)
That forklift better be drivable. Else, this will be the worst mod EVAAAR >:0
Ah, so you have listened to that album! And yeah I know the quote's source material, Celtic Frost just brought it up in such a nice way.
We have too many shared interests, I'm gonna add you to steam XD
Only one thing I'm cautious about, do AI still have pinpoint accuracy? I could see that being an issue with increased damage...
Reminds me of that Celtic Frost song...
gosh, how much more processing power is 1.2 going to need when its finished?
Now for the most important question of all...
How big is the download size? (no its not a problem for me, just curious to know how big it is compared to the mod installer).
Air Force Delta Storm wouldnt happen to be an inspiration for this project, would it?

Thank you! Also, in this mod, can artifacts be equipped only with certain suits? It's not letting me equip any.
That bit of news really excites me, I like story told through the environment of a game, one of the reasons Dark Souls was so endearing.

I might try this, though Im a bit confused as exactly what the focus of this mod is, is it basically a more refined STALKERSOUP?
Should I go ahead and play the current release or wait for 2.0?
Whats a rough ETA for the standalone?
