So all that you did was port over some BF2142 textures and models, then called it a new mod? BTW, I think using BF2142 items is illegal for a public mod.
Looks promising, but you've really got to start making some of your own assets if you want your mod to become popular. The BF3 HUD is from Nations at War 7.0, am I right?
Desura only installs the shortcut to your BF2 files. It doesn't insteall BF2 for you. You actually need to buy it from Steam or Origin
Get boot camp for Mac, load Windows, and play almost every game without a problem.
Or you can just download the BF2 SP Bot changer. Makes launching mods and vBF2 a breeze.
The default weapons for the Spetsnaz were considerably realistic, I think what you saw was players on multiplayer exchanging their default weapons for Global unlockable weapons.
Hey Foxtrot, If you want, I can help you beta test the next release and/or program firing values for the weapons. Be warned though, I'm not a very good modder or skinner.
It'd be great if you were able to transfer these new sounds to Global Storm: BF2. I've noticed the sound of the RPK came from BF3.
Yeah and one for the FN2000. Thanks for your considerations
The firing bolt of the iron-sight RPK-74 does not moving in accordance with the weapon's firing rate.
On Mass Destruction 16, the Spetznas do not get access to any FAV's. Is this an intended feature?
Awesome job with the Global Storm: Special Forces. The sounds feel a lot more realistic than their vBF2 counterparts.
Just a suggestion, but if you can, 3D scope? :P
The sights on the new AKS-74U are misaligned, the bullet does not fire in line with the Iron sights, but the barrel of the gun instead.
The reloading sound of the AK-47 in SF are off from the animations
Go to your BF2 folder, then find Mods. After that, go to GSmodSF>GSmodSF_server>weapons>handheld>(weapon name). Find the .tweak file and open it with notepad.
Now that you're in the document, find ObjectTemplate.heatAddWhenFire
ObjectTemplate.coolDownPerSec
ObjectTemplate.overheatPenalty
Change these values to suit yourself, the number you put will always be the amount of time in seconds.
Save to the desktop, delete/backup the old file, and drag the new one in.
I'm 90% sure you're using the wrong FAV(Fast Attack Vehicle) as shown in the video, the one in there is the Chinese FAV with the QBB-95, when it should be the Russian/MEC FAV with the RPK-74.
Were the files infected in anyway? If they weren't, then try using this to recover them: Piriform.com
It's because of the way pictures on Moddb function. All pictures will be stretched to meet the size of the viewer.
I don't know if this makes sense to you, but I feel that the guns don't feel realistic when you fire them. There's way too little recoil, and the gun moves around the screen instead of moving back when fired.
Just a little suggestion, but can you please increase the recoil force and/or make another animation for firing the guns?
Thanks for your consideration.
Here's the fix: Realitymod.com
How far are you in finishing Global Storm: Special Forces?
Make Global Storm SF, more options to players = bigger player database
I mean can you make it so you can run SF maps on this mod? BTW, are the sights of the QBZ-95 glitched or intended to be misalligned, or are they just a placeholder for an upcoming sight?
Is your Customization systems based off of the code in BF2142? If so, would an option to choose secondaries or body armour avaliable?
Can you add the objects from Special Forces so that it can be compatible with this mod?
Get rid of the crosshair, but keep the hit markers
Hey Jones, are you ever going to make the iron sights of the GP-25 and GP-30 functional in a later release?
It seems that the Mi-17 chopper currently avaliable for the MEC was originally intended for China, or maybe there was a labelling mistake. I think the APCs and Tanks could be improved on by adding Heat shells for the Tank and an coxial machine gun for the APC, both could be toggled. Maybe even adding a red light to the C4 detonator when pressed. There might have also been a M142 HIMARS at the back of the Alpha wallpaper
