Global Storm is modification for Battlefield 2 v1.5.
Main goal of GS mod is to improve gameplay with semi-realistic style
GSmod has also a goal of making "BattleField 2 v2.0" that means improving game only with good stuff and to stay with original BF2 concept and of course to have the same system requirements as BF2 v1.5.
If you are looking for a mod that will drastically change gameplay, moving it away from original BF2 concept then this mod won't be attractive to you as other mods would.
Since so far I'm only one who is developing this mod, the progress will be quite slow. But never the less GS mod for now has a higher weapons damage, faster rockets, RPG-7v, 3D ironsights, new sprinting animations, Apache and Hind helicopters plus BMP3 from Special Forces exp, new weapons, unique tweaks and more. There's also a bigger Single Player map sizes thanks to the work of "Ti_GER arn354".
In agreement with "Void/ESAI", Global Storm mod is now getting better AI, from "Enhanced Strategic AI" mod
"Emiliomau" made Eotech holo, Elcan, Reflex and PK-01 VS sight.
"InsanityPays" made new USMC MARPATs
Special thanks to "dodek96_pl" because without of his nerves of steel and his tutorials this mod would be dead from day one.
NOW AS FOR NEW PRONE ANIMATIONS, THOSE WON'T BE IN THE NEXT V0.5. I JUST DON'T HAVE TIME TO DO EVERYTHING ALONE, SO V0.5 WILL NOT HAVE PRONE ANIMATIONS.

I can't believe that it has past a one year since first version 0.1 of Global Storm mod was released. Version 0.1 was released on 01.05.2012.
When I think that version 0.1 only had a changed values of weapons damage, rockets speed and few added items from Special Forces expansion. I'm proud to say that Global Storm has definitely evolved into more fun and exciting mod.
The changelog of this version is huge, but in short:
- Now it's better optimized mod
- New improved AI. (by Void from his mod ESAI v5.0)
- New weapons
- New 1P animations for all weapons;
- New firing sound effects;
- New textures;
and much more ! Full changlog is included in download.
MEC vehicles got new woodland and desert textures.
EU infantry got also new textures:
New minimap shape:
New weapons and a few examples.
In "Tutorial" video on main page you'll find instruction of adding weapons to infantry class.
This presentation is only a small part of features in v0.5

Global Storm Special Forces mod maps. This maps are vanilla SF maps that were made to work with Global Storm SF.
Global Storm Special Forces v0.1 Global Storm mod v0.4 is now made to work with Special Forces expansion.
Main goal of "Global Storm mod" is to improve gameplay with semi-realistic style.
This is Single Player 16/32/64 size maps. This will give you large original BF2 map sizes in Single Player.

Hey Foxfort, just found some minor detail errors, first, the benelli M4 ejects 2 shells when you fire it, when firing the M95, the shell already comes out before the sniper can pull the bolt. One more thing, there's a problem with the M9 (standard and suppressed), when you're hipfiring it, the bullets tends to hit the left side of the crosshair, but when ADS'ing, the bullets is on the dot, try to aim on something, aim down the sight and you'll see the that gun will move to the left slightly and slightly to the right (or vice versa)when getting back to hipfiring position. Maybe some animation problems? Those are the only things that I've noticed when playing the mod since I downloaded 0.5.

I had a bad sector problem with my HDD, so I had to reinstall my Windows 7. So I reinstalled my win 7. Then I installed bf2, patched it to v1.41, after that I patched it to v1.50. Then I installed my mod and game/mod starts with no problem. So I don't know about mod crashes when starting a game. If you have this problem than problem is at your end. Now I can confirm that on some urban maps mod crashes when playing for a few minutes and I'm gonna start working on a fix.
I have also the same problem but different circumstances.

Well, the friendly fire thing didn't work, it only took away the hitmarkers. Never mind.

Please help my game crashes as soon it finishes loading the map
US SpecOps is NOT being used. US specop is replaced with navy seal.
If you want to change the weapon for Navy seal, you'll go into "GSmod_server.zip\Kits\seal" and you make changes in "seal_Specops.con"
