Crysis 1 + 2, Mass Effect 1 + 2, BfBC2 + Bf3, Xonotic and Red Eclipse are my favourites, but I also enjoy playing golden oldies like Star Wars Battlefront 2, GTA:SA, Re-volt, Tachyon, Crimson Skies and Grand Prix Legends). I play the piano and bass guitar (bit of a noob on the bass though!) and I love rocking out to GN'R, Iron Maiden, Rush, Black Sabbath and other awesome bands.

Most projects like this take a lot of time (we have had issues with engines, documentation and other things as Mandosis says) but we'd rather have delays and be a bit late and deliver something awesome that can easily be improved upon, than rush into anything.

Besides, we want this game to be built up by a community who shape it and make it what it is over a long period of time - other games (e.g. CoD) that have a smaller development time are often replaced shortly afterwards and left alone (albeit with a few DLC releases). We're providing an open platform through UE4 which should make the game more enjoyable and allow people to create custom content and have a say in how things should be run.

That said, there is always the possibility that you can visit the other end of the spectrum where you take far too long to release a game and it becomes vapourware. At the stage we're at at the moment and with the awesome progress we've made, this is pretty unlikely!

We switched to UE4 from Cryengine a couple of months ago. This is because both engines are now part of a subscription model and we thought that UE 4 is (at least at the moment) the stronger engine with better documentation and support for what we're trying to achieve. Cryengine is very powerful and some people prefer it, but our team felt that it would be best if we made the move.

Fair enough, although I'd like to add that we're trying to distance our game from any DICE Battlefront comparisons. We're not trying to be an exact replica of their game, we will add different things, have community made content and above all, the game we're making will be 100% free. Of course we don't have a full team of professionals working on Battlecry full time (we do have many very skilled members having said that) but that doesn't mean we can't make an enjoyable Indie game.

You can double check the specs of UE4 though and see if you can run the editor okay. That'll give you the rough guidelines.

Thanks! Well, we try and do things differently to DICE to keep our game fresh and original while listening to what fans want. And this is a game, not a mod (it used to be a mod many moons ago!)

I don't think we can bring it to Steam due to copyright issues. A lot of people ask for the Clone Wars, but it's something we're thinking of much further down the line.
