Just a simple PC/game/programming fan. In Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley. On the search for interesting, innovative and fun mods and indie games. Also trying to learn a bit more about the development process for games, maybe one day try and contribute to one of these projects :) If anyone is in need of a translator, I can speak/write English, Portuguese, German, and a moderate amount of Japanese. (Still hoping this might get me really into mod development).

I know that most mechs are sensor guided, but remember that the dev team still has to deal with technical and experience limitations at this point, So for now, they have to settle with a glass dome if they want to make the atlas playable.

The devs changed the head b/c you will be physically looking out of the mech. Thus, a skull with a small eye for a field of view would make it very annoying to pilot this mech.

The devs stated that since youre physically seeing out of the cockpit, the skull was too restrictive in the field of vision, thus they went with a bubble head design.

There was a huge discussion about it on their official forums..
