MechWarrior: Living Legends is a total conversion mod for Crysis Wars turned standalone, mixing BattleTech's combined-arms warfare and universe with BattleField's vast open maps and domination style gameplay.
Comparison of the outer appearance of the old and new Mech hangar in MechWarrior: Living Legends.
damn theres has been a major difference! but in a good way! looks awesome!!
I kinda like this one better...
This one looks waaaay better.
this is the new one right?
I hope it is because I like this one more than the other one.
This one looks like a hardened structure while the other one doesn't looks like it could take any incoming fire at all...
Dammit, ran out of 5-minute edit limit.
It probably isn't since it was in the left (traditionally the 'before' spot as English is a left-to-right language) of the before/after comparison in the news update.
The new one is made of corrugated metal which is not a sturdy material at all. Incoming fire would go straight through it.
I like this one here too. The other "new" one looks weak indeed - as Mighty said.
This one also reminds more of the ones in MW4.
The new one is way better once you see it in-game. The old one was very very very bad on performance (simply having 4 of them on a map dropped my FPS 10 frames), and was very low detail up-close. The insides of this old one were also very barren, basic, and resource intensive. If you ever saw and walked through this mechhanger in person, you would probibly slap yourself for ever thinking it was better.
The new one is better in just about every single way, both in terms of design, details, and most importantly performance. It truely feels like a mech hanger, while belive it or not this one more or less when you played with it in-game was more like a metal box than anything.
I do agree though, the "corrugated steel" look of the new mechhanger is very out of place on some of the maps we have as a personal opinion. I personally wouldn't mind a "tougher, spacey" dark steel steel version of the texturing so it looks more appropriate for maps like SA_Extremity, and the very outpost-y looking version we have now for maps like ToA_Clearcut
