Hmm. That arm looks like it's twisted very strangely. The wrist is completely horizontal to our eyes, yet the actual hand is starting to go vertical length wise.
Vehicles, computers, artifact melding, PDA modifications, different story, different gun animations, completely different levels, different mutants, etc.
It'll be an entire new game. Awesome, but lots of people are just going to play it because it sounds cool, and be disappointed when it's a lot different than Stalker.
Actually, now that I think of it, forget it, because no one cares about those people. :P
I don't think it matters if they know what they're doing. All these new complex features added could possibly...hamper gameplay for the average Stalker player. I'm not saying it will, but it could, and I think he's got a point.

Graphics aren't even the absolute point - optimization, bug fixes, extra features are also a part of it, so it doesn't necessarily mean anything.
The file you're looking for should be - gamedata/textures/ui/ui_mainmenu.dds
Of equal importance are the UI .xmls, which are located in - gamedata/config/ui/ui_mm_xxx.xml
Delete any files that have ui_mm in the beginning of their file names.
Also: main menu music is found at: gamedata/sounds/music/wasteland2_l, as well as it's r varient.ogg

However, I need clarification by what you mean 'menu'? As in the screen you come across when you first enter the game, the inventory screen/etc, or what?
I think you mean texture? Model is the 3D object, texture are the details wrapped around the object.
I don't know the exact path if you mean model, but it should be around gamedata/meshes/weapons/abakan/wpn_abakan.ogf, although, as I said, I'm not completely sure. Simply extract that from the LURK 1.05 archive. You'll probably also need the texture, regardless, so I will give you that, too: gamedata/textures/wpn/wpn_abakan.dds, and also grab any wpn_abakan_bumpxxx.dds.

The render choice is based on tastes, not performance. Static lighting is considered more atmospheric than the pretty, bright & happy full dynamic lighting.
You are free to use full dynamic lighting if you want - but don't expect everything to work/look proper in the new levels. Or for it to run optimally.

Moving dynamic light sources are very system intensive, so I doubt there's really a solution - unless you tone down the graphics.

I think that's because you didn't start a new game - if you started a game before adding the mod, the Cordon would have its default textures, (any texture you see ingame will always use that texture instead of mod textures added later, until you restart your game). The other areas, however, you would be able to see the new stuff just fine, as you hadn't previously entered them.
Please, everyone, shut up. Would you guys rather never see this released or wait a few more weeks? If you would rather never see this released, then why do you come to this page to see if it's been released? If you've been waiting from the very start, then a few more weeks isn't all that much in the long run.

Arsenal is a complete mess. Completely unbalanced, as well, and most of the guns have no place in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Some of the default weapons don't even belong in S.T.A.L.K.E.R., much less weird prototype weapons that are in Arsenal and somehow get in the Zone.

1.05 IS 1.0552, I believe - the download was for people that were using previous versions.
There's an easier way to do that then typing it into console, you know.
...it's called turning off the sun shadow option in advanced graphic options, :P
